oh, they dropped Linux support. Shame. It's really nice for quickly playing some samples with my MPD32. v2 looks really good.

oh well, they have to compete with TAL-Drum and Speedrum, too. Tough competition. it would be nice if it had pattern sequencing assignable per pad. That's something no sampler has in Linux and only FXPansion Geist is capable of in Windows if I'm not mistaken.

If you like simple samplers with pads, you might wanna try Apisonic Labs Speedrum or the perfect and slightly more powerful equivalent to Sitala called Speedrum Lite. I actually favour Speedrum Lite to Sitala so I'm not that sad they dropped the Linux version. It's more like "the more - the merrier" feeling that I miss.

 

Speedrum looks great, I have to try it. One little thing I dislike about Sitala is that they don't have an offset knob or feature.

 

Only full version of Speedrum has the offset feature, as well as TAL-Drum but it's called "delay". These two are so similar in features I often don't know which one to use. TAL-Drum has better quality fx section, but I rarely use built-in fx in any of the drum and sampler plugins.

 

@SineWave Are you sure MPC vst doesn´t have patterns per pad or am I misunderstanding something? Haven´t used it for looong time.

 

Was keeping this plugin on my mac because expected update for ARM. Now feel I dont need it anymore. Keep using Speedrum

Yes bro, MPC has it. I actually like MPC, but It feels a bit cumbersome to use it as VST, though. I rather use Reaper's SequencerBaby with TAL-Drum or Speedrum.

MPC is cool for jamming. One of the things that still draws me to Windows occasionally.
