I don't know, I'm missing these new songs in the style of Hasselhoff or Miami Vice, with these very 80's sounding drum machines and OB-X's. Synthwave sometimes feels too perpetual and mostly dull for me. But I love the trend to revive these old beats! Here is a guy from germany doing what I love to hear!

When I was in college back in the late 80s, almost every other dorm room had a poster of a Lamborghini Countach. I think that pretty well sums up what the 80s mean to me (although I do like New Retro Wave)

Hi, finally i had to register to be part of this great forum and post something
I´m listening to Retrowave/Synthwave for many years now - there are so many great artists out there and my Spotify and Youtube Playlists are growing each day.. but if someone asks for a recommendation in this genre i always have to show him the Carpenter Brut - Turbokiller Video masterpiece.. its the perfect example in my opinion.

but my absolute favorite artist is The Midnight - every single track a masterpiece you don´t know which one to post first..

These songs are awesome, thanks for showing us! It was a good idea to register here. OMG, the remixes of new tracks to 80's stuff is very interesting and the retouching of Ariana Grande and Justin, too!

 

And of couse Carpenter Brut - Mega! Exactly my taste, like Perturbator and Dance with the Dead. The video is awesome!
