I've made this remix for a Dutch band called Gardenfest. (I'm Dutch myself)
They asked me to do it.
So after some time, and some analog mastering we've released it.

Mix is clean and polished, but the song overall is flat, uneventful, and somewhat boring to listen to. Not something I personally would listen to more than once.

 

Not my cup of tea, I think it would sound good in drum and bass.Mash it up a bit.

 

It's a nice track....I didn't find it flat at all but I would rearrange it a bit to give it a little more dynamics, so that it's not so repetitive.

Just my opinion!

 

Thank you all for the feedback! The idea of this track was to be for the mainstream listener. Not for the average musician. I like to listen to DnB too!
More, dynamics? Most of the dance tracks nowadays are totally flat. Lots of compression. I tried not to stand out with this or something.
Just something good for a club and radio.

Song is good. The mastering has not helped it however.
Why not stand out with it? It's your music! Make people go "whoa! play that again!!"
Not "What was that?"

Always surprises me why people want to squash the life out of a song. You can still master hot but leave some life.

Good stuff dude, seriously. Just my take on things

 

I dont even try to compete in the loudness wars because Ill always lose. Thats when I said eff it, and tried to have more dynamics and just hope people can be bothered to adjust the volume knob themselves
