I am having problems with a copy of Spitfire Audio Symphonic Strings that has never given me problems until now. I just reinstalled Windows 10 Home and added my Kontakt libraries as usual but this library won't load. I have always just been able to add it via Manage Libraries > Add Libraries. I've never used a NICNT generator before with this library, it just loads into the Library tab with it's own wallpaper. I've tried everything I know. I have made sure to delete the following entries (if they were added) before trying a new method of install:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\Spitfire Symphonic Strings
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Spitfire Symphonic Strings

I've tried renaming the nicnt file, renaming the directory... everything. I tried removing the nicnt file from the library's folder and using KLC to generate a new one but nothing works. I've tried using a different backup copy of the library but notta. I tried updating to Kontakt 6.3 but that seemed to have issues so I went back to 6.22.

I was just going to settle and setup a quickload but if I try to load via Files I get the following error, which I've never had on any library: "This instrument belongs to a library that is not currently installed." Like it is trying to use Native Access.

    Help!!! Suggestions?

I just opened the library in Kontakt 5 portable without issues but I'm not very familiar with the portable version. Is there a way to install/add the library to the registry with portable in hopes that Kontakt 6 will then load it?

the portable don't use regedit, hope is not a solution.

this library is taken normally using Add Library.exe with native access installed to generate the xml validation file.
it look like that you forget to install it.

Kontakt portable 6.22 works very well and it definitely has an add library feature.

Correct, I did install native access briefly to download a legit of mine then uninstalled it. I don't know how much truth there is to it but I've heard some say that libraries get turned into demo versions if access is installed. I also own several of my libraries and wasn't sure if I would have issues. I also own a legit Kontakt 6 full version but I don't use it.

What do think about what I just said? Any truth to it? What do you suggest bobdule? Install Native Access with my legit login and run cracked Kontakt? If so, can I download the libraries I own while cracked libraries are also installed without problems? I've been wanting to message you about another topic but haven't had the time. Respect.

I'm running 6.22, not portable. I only was trying to use version 5 to see if it would install and then switch back to 6.22. I tried portable and install versions of 5, also an R2R keygen registry tool that list this specific library. Said it successfully registered but still, same error in 6. Nothing has worked yet. bobdule may be on to something though, waiting for reply.

you need native access, nothing more.
it take 5mn to check it. this library load as usual without any trouble.
if not it can be a batch resave result from a 6.2 bad version, nki 's are broken. you'll need to download them again from a valid torrent.
    the rutra one is ok.

Sorry, I got a bit jumpy and started a new thread about Native Access here. Can you please answer those 3 questions for me?

I did install a new library torrent from rutra, same result. I have this library running on a different different PC without Native Access. I have downloaded the Kontakt (Setup 6.3.2 Full Options + Library Download Tools 224 + Add Library) easy install from your website here. Waiting on your feedback about those 3 questions before I begin. I'm just trying to learn, thanks!

I just installed your Kontakt (Setup 6.3.2 Full Options + Library Download Tools 224 + Add Library) easy install and followed the directions exactly including installing Native Access and got the same result. If I click add library tool, it says 1 library successfully added but it's not there when I open Kontakt.

Check the SNPID # in the .xml file in Service Centre. It should be the same as the SNPID in the .nicnt file, not <000>.
    Edit with a TextEditor.
This sometimes happens on macOS, not sure if it's your problem though.
If you were getting .tmp files on desktop, change file to .xml and make sure the file is named as per the lib name, and add to Service Centre.
If you have the Add Lib tool for Windows, or are using the portable Kontakt, strange this is happening for you...
    What library is this?

Well when I look in the Service Center (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center), I don't see xml files for Spitfire Brass or Woodwinds only for Spitfire Symphonic Strings which is the one not loading. I changed the SNPID in the Service Center to match the NICNT and still nothing... this is so annoying.

Wait, so what was the SNPID # in the .xml before you changed it? <000>?
Try to re-add the library now. It may just create another .xml if there is still a problem though. I don't know.
Hang on. In first comment you mentioned you edited the .nicnt file!
Do you have the original backed up?

You know that a library that doesn't appear in the Library Tab can still be opened, don't you?
Why even mess with KLC? Just so you can see the pretty picture in the Library Tab?
Find the folder in Files, or add it to Quickload, and click on a .nki file or something.
    What happens?

I pulled up the NICNT Generator (Native Instruments (HomeCooked TinyToolz 1-6)-TRACER) and ran a SNIPD check and it shows 3 files with the SNIPD of the NICNT file. I list below. Again I have to say, this all seems crazy because I've never had an issue with this library and the 2 other Symphonic libraries don't have a problem.

Almost makes me want to do the reinstall of Windows over but geez... that's a HUGE pain. Sorting out this library problem is the last thing I needed to do before I made a Windows Backup of this install. Makes no sense.

    Test results:
All found RELEVANT Files (If ProductHints.xml: Search inside with Clipboard-Text)
    c:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\Forgotten Voices Terrie.xml
    c:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\NativeAccess.xml
    c:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\Spitfire Audio - Symphonic Strings.xml

Read my additions to my comment above^ before I help.

So you have a conflict with SNPID #s. Probably because you rushed to create a new .nicnt.

I do have a backup of the file. I've been replacing with the original after failed attempts to repair. The xml was 100 not 000.

You didn't read the entire original post about the file tab.

That's your bumper, pal! I think you're on your own now.
Where, oh where, did you ever mention the Files tab???
    Or Quickload?
Have you tried to do what I said yet?
I doubt bob will respond at this time.
Plus, you weren't exactly appreciative of his help. You created yet another thread!
You have to put @ in front of his name, if you want to specifically call him...
    THANK YOU!
So either that was the correct one, in which case you have something else wrong, or a dodgy .nicnt, or that was a wrong SNPID # in the .xml
I just have to check the real SNPID # for you...

    It's not SNPID <100>, no...
    Hang on...

    edit: it's <031>
So if u could get that far effed up, the SNPID # in your .nicnt file must be wrong too, from what u have told me!
No such thing. 'Shared' libraries. Cracked Kontakt.
Isn't that tool for when u have legit Kontakt and a shared lib?
Within 17 mins! Impatient is the word.
I just hope u reinstalled Native Access.
