I am putting together a new mastering PC and I have purchased a Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5GHz LGA 2011-v3 CPU and an ASUS X99-A LGA 2011-v3 Motherboard. What kind of PSU would you recommend? I typically like Corsair stuff and was looking at the CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i. Will that work? Or would there be something else you would recommend? Also, what cases would you recommend that are large and quiet? I hate having to cram stuff down in tiny cases. I currently have the Corsair Carbide Series Black 300R on the old rig, and I was hoping to have something larger and quieter than that?

About PSU, there are amazing "bang for the buck" rebranded ones.
ex : you can find rebranded Seasonic for half the price ;)
I bought a rebranded Seasonic/Antec 400watt gaming on my side. Amazing PSU.
Here is a nice list :

Any good real 700W power supply should do. 1200W is a bit overkill for none game or none server build. But on the other hand, you say you want quiet system, so additional watts should be good, simply because you will hardly load it more than 50%(also with good graphic card in mind), which in other words mean, it should be very quiet, as fan will not kick in untill like at 40% of load for example. And in audio production, this 40% power supply load, should be very rare. Specially doing mastering job in some daw. So in most cases fan will never spinning, which mean complete silence almost all the time. On the other hand that also mean, you will throw some money through the window for all those additional watts(components, that provide those watts), which you will rarely use. My choice will be max 1000W PS. The best thing to do right choice is to borrow PS from someone and do measurement, Try to find how much your complete system is eating at like 90% load(like run graphic, cpu and hard disc benchmarks at the same time). Then to those watts add additional 30-50% and that is recomended PS for your system if you want really silent power supply.

Thank you.. it says water cooling is needed for that case... is that just for the cpu or all the components?

I will be doing occasional gaming on the system (FPS), and I use Nebula Server and those puppies can eat some cpu! ;) I was thinking of putting in a couple of vid cards but I don't know what yet..

this is from the product review: "Outstanding noise dampening, combined with good cooling out of the box. Water cooling is a must in this excellent case!" Do you not really need it? I am planning on getting the Corsair Hydro Series H100i for cooling the cpu...

I'd stick to official specifications and not to reviews.
    Water cooling is no requirement.

Ok where can I buy the case from here in the U.S.? I checked the site and it gave me one that is needing me to fill out a long application and I don't have a tax id or anything like that. It is just me in the business... Is there some where where I can just buy it outright?
