    Hello Everybody!

I'v just got new pc. The configutration is

    I7 7700k
    mainboard: msi z270 sli plus
    16 gb ddr4 3000 mhz
    gtx gtx 1060 6gb
win 7 on ssd samsung evo
    two ssd 1tb for libraries
    Multiface II + PCIe

Everything seems to be connected properly and work fast BUT
I use studio one 3 and i loaded few big sound from Cinesamples strings just for test.
I waw wondering, how far I can go with voices in kontakt, low latency an so on.
Block size in soud card and daw is let say 128 samples so input latency is 3.63 ms, output latency 4.35
when I play some chords with cine samples full ensamble strings cpu goes high and i got cracks and pops...
I tried to turn off and on multicore processing in kontakt as well with studio one.
My power plan in win 7 is set up to high, bacground services and so on. no firewall or antivirus.
I don't want to use 1000 vioces but i thought that there will be huge difference between my old i7 2.80 and new one. The only one solution is to set up higher latency in rme settings.
As far I know many musicians have no problem with lower latency with pc like mine.
Maby there is a problem with rme mutliface II? it's the oldest part of my configuration.

Does any body have any advice for me? Soution? anything.

Is it Win 7 64 or 32 bit?
Did you check your ASIO driver?

What do You mean check asio drivers? Drivers are updated. all libraries are on ssd.

seems like everyting is perfecty set up, i dont know the plugin but with some multisample contact libraries with internal modulations i have to go with 256 too and i have a pretty similar setp

win 64 updated. The main problem for me is that new configuration i7 7700k 4.2 mhz 8core should be enough strong to play for example cinesamples "Full Ensambple Articulations - Multi-mic"

Since i dont play live i dont mind to set it to 256 at 44,1

I have read lots of people saying that studio one is heavy on the cpu.

One simple test to see if that is true in your case is to test your setup using Reaper. Its a small download and you can install as portable so no changes to your registry will be made.

See if using reaper makes any difference, at least then you will know if its the daw or not.
