There are only 2 manufacturers of CPUs Intel and AMD. AMD has always been cheaper than Intel. The Ryzen series from AMD is the processor that is a serious competitor to Intel. It is not an experiment and a risk, but a processor that you can install without hesitation. GigaByte Mainboard is a reliable, innovative brand. Asus motherboards would be an alternative. The company bequit! from Germany. builds the best power supplies in the world with a 5 year guarantee.

thank you for the detailed info. alas most of these are not available here and beyond my budget.
please note I can't buy online or import from other countries due to the economical crisis and the government limiting use of $ currency
to buying food and gas oil.
I much appreciate the input I will study my options and get back to you all with my decision and hopefully some pics of the new PC
    best regards

Single core advantage on Intel. This is where DAWs still max out first.

    Hey Guys,
Sorry to revive the thread but I am a bit stuck and kinda pulling my hair out
and by the way I've just noticed this is in the wrong section so if anybody wants to move it pls feel free to do so.

the good news I upgraded the PSU to:
Gigabyte GP-P750GM 750W Gold Fully Modular PSU at 107 $
    or
    Cooler Master MWE 750W MPE-7501-AFAAG V2 Gold Efficiency Fully Modular PSU (Active PFC/ 90% Efficiency ) at 110 $
I can't go higher than that. any preference
Also for the SSD I can go for:
Kingston SFYRS/1000G 1TB NVMe 1TB M.2 2280 Internal – PCI Express 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD at 212 $ this is almost twice my original choice
no Samsung is available her alas but i think I might be able to tell a relative to bring it from France but not guaranteed

now since I made this thread the Intel Core i7-12700KF at 509 $ has become available
with only MSI boards that support LGA 1700 (prices range from 229 to 409 $ ) all Z690 (A , WiFi or Carbon)
the 12700 is quite tempting but it's making the system out of my range frankly
as some has suggested I went to consider the i7 11700KF which is strangely cheaper then the 10700KF :woot:
    also the i9-10900KF 10 Cores 3.7 GHz (5.3 GHz Turbo Unlocked ) at 495 $
    and the i9-11900F Rocket Lake 8-Core 2.5GHz (5.20GHz Turbo) at 433 $
    and the i9-11900KF Rocket Lake 8-Core 2.5GHz (5.20GHz Turbo) at 537 $
I checked the net and the and got the impression that the 11900 are not better than the 10700! can someone explain
and between these 4 choices which is better considering I don't overclock or play games only Rendering and Music

and lastly the MB. only three brands are available: MSI, ASrock and Gigabyte
so took a screen shot in the hope that someone can advise hopefully in the 200$ range

sorry that this has dragged a bit. but this will have to serve me for at least 8 years and at that time I probably won't be buying
    new PCs:shalom:

thank you all and happy holidays
