looks great! i dont find the price too bad, considering the technology behind it. I guess it depends on the pricing of the modules though too. Will be very interesting to see where this goes in the next few years

Oh, it's like system-500 but with digital control from your DAW. Best of both worlds. Cool.

One drawback I can see with it is the same as with system-500: not everything is possible to fit in such a small space, like most tube designs. For those you also have to provide a strong PSU. It is however excellent for VCA compressors (SSL, DBX, Drawmer), EQs, all kinds of effects...

Great, modern take on system-500. It's curious nobody thought of it before. It's about time.

omfg there are 12 small fans in it for airflow... that must sound awful. This is wrong... but at least they turn on "as required". I'm sure there will be more revisions of this rack.

V interesting and more of an in-depth view. Imagine 3 full units, 3U high same size as a 500 rack, but with 36 modules!

They say "temperature sensing fans that maintain an almost silent operation." I wonder exactly how silent is "almost" silent? Still...

 

In the days of very good analog style software emulations, I wonder how much of a difference these modules will make to warrant the hassle of dealing with more hardware again.

 

Interesting to see that the rack unit can handle part of the process, hopefully that means cheaper modules.
