Has anyone been able to get this to download? I keep getting a 404.

You don't need any VPN.
Servers was just overloaded.
Try today. It works fine.

There should be Download buttons under the timer

 

Should maybe be noted that you also aren't done when you click the download link from their site. You run the exe it downloads, and then you still have a 624MB download from that for the actual installer. So make sure you don't wait on doing that, in case you lose access to the actual download when this expires.


My quick review.... I'm going to be brutally honest in that I don't think I like it at all and won't likely ever use it.

The good:
It sounds good out of the box, and it's a very simplistic, cute interface (which might be all that a lot of people will care about). I actually like the UI, for the most part, but requires a little simple tweaking. If you don't need to do any eq/compression/etc. to individual parts of the kit, this would be super quick to set up and use (again, this does sound pretty good, out of the box).

The bad:
No multi-output?
No idea what the UI buttons are above the drum pads (which I've now discovered are FX), but I guess you will get used to it. But why not throw tool tips somewhere? Not a big deal though.. again, you'll get used to what's what quickly enough, as there aren't many FX to remember.
FX apply to the whole kit, can't do any processing whatsoever on individual components of the kit (unless I'm missing it). Well, you can adjust volume/tune/repeat rate of each independently, but that's about it.
There's no preset/kit browser, just have to left and right to switch between presets? No description of what the presets are, just an image? Again, probably something you will get used to though.. from the manual, I see there are only 8 of them. If they ever add more kits on though, it's going to be "fun" to switch through them and remember what's what, though.


So, it's kind of a neat novelty, and very simplistic.. some people will really love this, I think, but it's not the one for me. Maybe newer versions will add multi outputs and other things, but as it stands, to me it's neat, but not sure if I'll ever use it.

Definitely decide on your own whether this is one for you, these are just my initial thoughts.. maybe it will grow on me more, but I definitely have better options to use. Simplicity and instant ready-to-use is obviously it's selling point and that plus the charm and good sound will speak to a lot of people though.
