Interesting name for the band. I like all three things, but put together is a win-win-win. :) I'll have a listen. Mind you, I have a weird and dark taste. Not really into pop.

I've been doing some computer work for the past 3 hours and listening to your stuff. It's generally nice and ambient, for easy listening. There is something to each track and I would classify them as soundtrack music, a bit sad/dark and nostalgic. You do very interesting stuff with vocals on "Osirus" and in a couple of other tracks. Technically, tracks are a bit bass shy and the bass sounds a bit undefined-blurry, however that might be intentional. Vocals are too brittle on a few tracks but pretty good on others.

This particular track makes me think it could use some lyrics and interesting ambient-far-wet-in-reverb singing like you have in some tracks. Then you could make it a bit longer.

In summary, you have a way with dark-ish ambience that I like. Production could use some work, especially on lows-bass-drums.

    Keep it up CBP!

Thanks for the links, I love industrial and strange music! Front Line Assembly, Combichrist, Leaether Strip, Ministry, Rammstein... too many to mention. And I'm a Depeche Mode fan, too... lol

edit: the track to the video on the wix site sounds very good!

Thanks Mr. Sine Wave! I've got yamaha montitors ---the 5 inch version, so I just try to work fast and get a basic idea out then go on to the next. I'll definitely be studying bass and drum mixing now that you mention it. the track originally had voice but I dropped it because it was too noisy.

Don't take this as a critic, but an obserbation (because i don't know shit about this kind of music)

Feels a lot like a texture/sound mangling showcase, which is done pretty well, but i feel that musically speaking the melody doesn't really seem to go anywhere at first glance. Reminds me of some music excercises where you would put notes that fit the scale, but not really caring too much about making an actual phrase.

That goes for the first half or so. Now, there's enough well placed stuff happening on the second half for it to be intersting, but the first half feels pretty meh.

Can't comment much about the mix since i'm listening on my phone's speaker, will take a proper listen later.

it's an improvised track. in the begining it may be a little meandering and unpredictable. good criticism. thanks.

Don't take this the wrong way but it really depends on how much time you put it into. Hours, days, weeks?

A point to endeavor to improve a bit are the to make the transitions more interesting.

    Then it's a draft.

Not bad for a draft, it's not great but but it's interesting enough to listen to at least once. There is a lot of finesse to add sticking disjointed things together, to my ear those who did it at an extreme and did it well where the breakbeat pioneers in the early 00. DJ Herc, Baby Jane, Prodigy, Chemical Bros, 4heros, Liquid.... Like the music or not there are some good lessons in there for working with genre that focuses on clashing elements.

Maybe if I have some gummy bears and some time this weekend I'll do one for fun and then you can make fun of it. I wont spend that long on it so expect it be hilarious.

    Cheers.

all the tracks I put up are drafts in that case. I'm really still experimenting, trying to arrive at something better, but I have a lot to to try and to learn. My goal is to get fast at putting an idea down that almost everything I put in the daw gets in quickly one take only. I'm just getting to the point where real transitions and ear candy are needed, but there are spheres of inadequacies...

looking forward to hearing your track.

Indeed all of the tracks do feel unfinished and rushed somewhat. But that's how it works, really - you put the draft down as quickly as possible while it's still fresh in your head and then you "polish" it later, which can take days or even weeks. When I get a creative idea I tend to work until I burn out and practically faint into the bed. It's like an addiction, but also passion for what you do.

We do live for the creative moments and enjoy them the most, but the ones that stick out in the end are the ones who can take it to another level. Another level from making drafts, I mean. There's no track without drafting it first, but there is no good track without spending some time on it, also.

Yamaha monitors like HS7 or 8 are great workhorses. There is enough sub bass in your tracks, but not enough normal bass range 100-200Hz. That is normal for when you work with monitors that can't reproduce deep bass normally. Keep that in mind while working on your music and everything will be fine. Highs and mids sound fine generally. Anyway, all this is what you worry about last...

    Cheers!

Thanks for getting back. I will just keep pushing the creative edge until I hit that fucking Ice wall, if the music is hot enough I'll be able to melt my way right through to some unpromised land. The musical journey may never finish. I'm a never play the same song twice type and I have been for over 35 years. It's really hard to go beyond 2 or 3 days for me, unless there is a proper plan to put a track out. Seems I need a commission to really dedicate that extra mile to any track. after the creation it's a different job.
where can I hear something of yours?
