Music knowledge is organized in the order than the recepient fathoms it.
I can share the information of music.

However the knowledge does not follow
    Linear
Knowledge of music is not a straight line .
Music is a language which works like neurons in the brain
    Fractal .
What makes you believe that the fractal system if knowledge called music could be organized in a linear way ?

Look at my latest thread on music theory I explain it as potent and close to straight line as possible .

I am always trying to improve these aspects, please make a thread where you explain it better organized than myself do I can learn how to improve this from yourself. Thank you for your time.

The interesting thing about the organization of music knowledge is that it is different watch time your finger hits the key plucks the string or your vocal chords ding a note .
What do I mean by this?

You can organize the knowledge of music by a starting location
Consonance and dissonance from a specific location and context .

You can organize the knowledge if music starting from every possibly and narrowing it down each step
You can organize the knowledge of music starting from 1 possibility and each step building up .

Music knowledge is literally a fractal system
And most important the person learning it is going to have opposite preference of person next to them .

Music is not the sounds you hear, just like " English " is not the sounds you make with your voice ( although those aspects are a small percentage)

Just like " English language" is about the meaning of the letters words sentences combinations and sounds they make ,
Music is a language of meaning using notes which stack or Cascade along our dreams emotions and fantasy's .
The " meaning" portion is what makes the knowledge portion so context dependant to the point you have nodes of knowledge which connect to other nodes when you open the node you find the same thing you just came from this is called a fractal .

Dr b is the best and free YouTube .

However as we all know if you want to learn the most organized version of music theory , which literally means 100plus hours of just hearing the knowledge explained in entirety .
Contrast with my last music theory thread .
In 10 mins you can transform your musical life .
In 1 hour you can play every song ever been written
In 2 hour you can play every possibility of every Melody that will ever be possible along with every chord substitution ever imagined .
The choice is yours I recommend Dr b videos first if you can he great guy I love chatting with him about 1920,s Louis Armstrong

@MMJ2017 I hope you understand that I never underappreciated what you do. You are adding value to the education side of our community and that's good thing.
What I did was to criticize your way of doing it. whether you're willing to accept or ignore it is your choice.

I don't want to hijack this thread from the OP. You can always PM me if you want to discuss anything I commented on.

It's takes a long time to learn everything.
What do you really want to do with music?

I can give you a quick run through of harmony structure .
You have 3 scales most important .
The major scale ( major key and it's modes include natural minor , you will use all 7 modes)
Next ( modification of natural minor scale)
You have the harmonic minor scale ( you use the 7 mode on diminished chords, the 5 mode on minor cadence)
And lastly you have the melodic minor scale ( it's combination of major and natural minor)
You will use it on minor 6 chords, and the 4th mode
Lydian dominant is used a lot of dominant chords.

    C major
    C. D . E. F . G. A. B . C

    A natural minor
    A . B . C. D . E . F. G

    A harmonic minor
    A . B. C. D. E . F . G#
    A melodic minor
    A . B. C . D . E . F#. G#

    .......

Next here is the chords in C major

    1. CEGB. Cmajor7 ( CEGA C6
    2. DFAC. Dminor7.
    3.EGBD. Eminor7 .
    4.FACE . Fmajor7
    5.GBDF . G7 .
    6.ACEG . Aminor7 .( C6 cega
    7.BDFA . Bminor7b5

    Here the progressions used.
    V to I. G7 to Cmaj . ( Tension release)
ii VI. Dmin7 to G7 to Cmaj .( Cadence)
V to Iminor . E7 to Aminor .( Tension release)
iimin7b5 to VISIT to Iminor . Bmin7b5 to E7 to Amin
    (Cadence)
