I'm working with SonicCouture - Novachord With UPDATE, I know it's an older library but the Samples folder has couple large nkx files and a Novachord_refmap.txt that gives a long list of files that are apparently samples compressed in nkx files, the library says it won't load because the library is not installed:

X:\_ENCODER\Novachord\SC Novachord\Samples\<<<Novachord_001.nkx>>>\Samples\NonVibrato Sets\NV011230\NV011230-100.wav
X:\_ENCODER\Novachord\SC Novachord\Samples\NonVibrato Sets\NV011230\NV011230-29.wav
X:\_ENCODER\Novachord\SC Novachord\Samples\<<<Novachord_001.nkx>>>\Samples\NonVibrato Sets\NV011230\NV011230-29.wav


I downloaded UNNKS v0.2.5 and set it up in C:\unnks ran in cmd
c: [return]
cd c:\unnks [return]
unnks -xvf novachord_001.nkx [return]
This ran through the files, created directories for the samples but would not extract the files, it gave the errors "operation not permitted"
What am I missing?

If you know of another method/program other than UNNKS that would extract/decompress nkx files, I would appreciate it.

I'm running into more and more libraries that can't be opened with a cracked kontakt. They either can't access or can't extract the nkx files.

 

Yes, there absolutely is a way to do it! There's a plugin called inNKX for the program Total Commander. It can handle a lot of things besides working on .NKX sample containers.
