Whats up guys, I really need your help...
Since 2 months ago I heard a Kind of bass and I'm struggling to recreate it without succes... I've tried everything I could think, like fm basses, trying to use perc shots to hit together with a bass pattern, clicky pitch envelopes, but nothing gets even closer to that sound, so I'm asking you to help me please. It's really important to me.

So I need to know how many layers does it have, how the perc layer was made, is that big bottom bass part of the perc bass or it's a separated sub bass and in that case how they made the sub bass... and how it's mixed?

Any tip or clue to get me in the way to achieve this sound would help me a lot and I would be really gratefull... even if someone know a preset pack or something that i can reverse angineer to know how it's made, as I've said, anything would help me a lot!

Actually the drop bass sound of both tracks, I know it sounds different but it seens be a variation of the same method, one is more low passed than the other but the method is kinda the same to me.

Not to sound annoying or superior but, it's just some regular Bass House stabs in those two. Greatly shaped tho. Not a specialist of those kind of sound design but really, any Serum presets pack that you can find on AZ will give you strong base, grab some Stabs in the House style and try to shape it like those songs, by ear.

 

try using two devices that have been installed on your system since birth, they are called 'ears'. Then open up any synth bank and go look for it, it's really that simple!

 

Thanks bro, I was searching for basses, I'll look for some "stabs" and stab tutorials to see if it's fit my needs.
But one more question, can you figure out how many layers does that sounds have in the example tracks?

 

why you just dont download sample @ post 4 ?

 

If you look for a G-house pack you should find the bass there. Of course you need the space this track has in order to show it off. Also you need a bit of sound desgin to get it this clean.

Oh yeah, if someone have a tip on how to get that low end (not the percussive part) it would be really appreciated, I'm trying a filtered saw as sub bass but it's just different than their sound

PS:I'm not trying to copy their sound, I'm just wanting a mix quality as good as these tracks

 

Would be hard to tell you how many layers he had. If the sound is greatly engineered he would need only one layer for this kind of sound. The sub bass is a layer actually, but not a square, probably a Sine as base, but it looks like highly modulated and very short to follow and layer the main stab bass!

There is nothing wrong about it, recreating reference sounds is one of the best way to learn pro sound design fast. Also will make you find your own sound and inspiration (based on) very fast

To talk about this Stab sound again, it's typically the kind of genre and sound where the sound design is kept simple, but very efficient, no need for hugely complexes matrixes and mods in your synths like neuro genres for example.
