I downloaded update files from sister site. I installed all 3 updates however when I open omni in the daw (sonar platinum) it says patches and library are updated but the software is not. If I open the omni standalone and try to register it wont patch with the r2r and says patch fails. I believe Ive only installed the 32bit version for omni (program x86). Thx

 

You are now playing in tow threads, so it may become difficult to help you when we need to jump between threads not knowing where you are reading.
First thing you muts make sure is that you don't have different places where the omni DLLs reside or you cant say easily wich files you have cracked already.
I suggest having one single directory for all VST 2 DLLs. VST3 are stored in a properly defined path (by Steinberg) by design. It causes a lot of confusion if there are several paths for the respective VST versions.

Second is that you should start the keygens/cracks as admin or the files may not be cracked sucsessfully.

 

Well i installed omni 2 years ago 32 bit so im going to delete and reinstall it 64 bit. update everything after install then patch it. i downloaded the 2.6 update but will download latest 2.8 before i begin so im on a job to do

 

I have reinstalled omnisphere, full install with both 32 bit and 64bit plugins. I havent patches and registered opened in daw yet.I applied 2.6 software update however its wont allow me to install the patch and sound updates for 2.6. Im pointing to correct steam folder but says it cannot read path. Anyone know?

 

Spectrasonics stuff is particular for sequencing patches & updates. If there are prerequisites that aren't installed then further updates/patches cannot continue. Make certain all interim updates/patches before your current version are installed correctly.

 

i didnt download the 2.8 updates yet as i would like to see it working with 2.6. So as I said it will allow me to update software 2.6 but not the other two updates (patch, sounds) and as I said I havent patched or registered it yet. Should I patch and register in daw first before trying the other two updates then repatch?

 

Well I have omni 2.0 and installed it with the available updates in the install. I was of the opinion according to op on here that omni is not version intensive so that it needs prior updates so ive just installed what I have and then tried to install 2.6 updates to it. It takes the software update but wont updates patches and sounds.

 

Do I have to update 2.0 to latest 2.0 first?

 

The version of omni I have when installed is 2.0.3. I want it updated to the latest so what updates do I need to get to update? I have the updates for 2.6.0c. Can I just get the latest updates for 2.8 and install or do I have to install prior versions?

 

I guess I figured it out (duh!). I just checked the spectrosonics site for updates and it told me what versions. didnt realize they would vary in version numbers for what I need and I just downloaded the same version number for each (2.6), me bad. Im downloading correct ones and will install however I already installed omnisphere and patched and registered it. Im hoping I dont have to re-register after I update and after patching.
