If you have the steam folder in 2 different locations Omni might get confused. Move the steam folder to the desired location and create an alias where the steam folder used to be.

 

I already did this. I want the steam-folder in my documents. I of course also tried reinstalling and not moving the folder. Same thing. At the moment in looks like on the screenshot. Real steam folder in Documents. Alias folder in /application support/spectrasonics/. All subfolders and can be edited by anyone. It really boggles my mind

 

Strange. It could be something with reaper but I don't use reaper. Can anyone using reaper chime in on this issue?

 

Just Sing up to this forum to tell you how usefull your explanation was to be able to patch the vst. Pretty clear !

 

Ive followed all directions and I thought everything worked perfectly except Spectrasonics doesnt show up in my daw for selection despite the daw visibly displaying it registered it upon startup.?

 

I know this is a shot in the dark due to this post being years old but here it goes. I’m doing this for keyscape and omnisphere 2.

I’m stuck at stage 5 because every time I try and patch the file, wine tells me it fails. What do I do? You’re post is SO helpful, and I’m so thankful for it. Hopefully you can help me out here. Asking for a friend

 

You MUST copy files to desktop, patch using keygen app, NOT wine, then move them back into VST/AU folders.

I used incorrect terminology, my apologies. I'm using the "spectrasonics_keygen_OSX" and I have the files copied on my desktop. Every time I try and patch I get "failed patching"

Got it I think I know what's going wrong. You need to give permission to the vst and or AU. Use batchmod first before patching as it is locked. Then patch and put back the vst and AU back into the correct destination. Hopefully this will fix things for you.

Also having trouble with this, tried changing permissions and patching the file on my desktop, keep getting "Failed Patch" on the keygen. If anyone has any ideas that'd be much appreciated. Dl'ed straight to my external harddrive so not sure if that's a problem, but did the same with Omnisphere and that works perfect

I need help guys. Im pretty sure how to patch, What I did was just copy the omni file to my google drive patch on windows and drag it back over to Mac an put it back where I got the file from. It patched with no issue.

I have a few questions there's 8 disc are they suppose to stay mounted during installation? OR do I do Step one and Step 2 and copy the steam folder from each of the virtual disc into the actually steam folder on the computer? I get lost here. what I did was copy the steam folders inside the mounted disc onto my HD over the steam folder on my Mac, I honestly don't know if that was the right move.

Omni opens but it does not play the sounds it says something about wave form.
Ill start over if I have to. if someone could just help

I have 5 omni folders as well the OG with the 8 disc an the updates.

i installed omnisphere 2.3 a while back and just recently updated the soundsource and the patches to 2.6. i have a software updater for 2.6 but when i install n reopen omnisphere it asks me to authorise again. i know the 2.3 components are patched so when i installed it didnt ask me for the authorisation but do you have a 2.6 patched component and vst? or know where i can find them?

also do you have the keygen to patch things just for future times.

can anyone help me. i do not want to revert back to patches 2.3 n soundsource 2.3 as i dont know how to

Anyone have an answer? We’re super close to figuring this out. I get inside the .component file and .vst file that I copy to my desktop and it opens up the contents of the file inside the keygen. I tried everything found in the contents and they all say failed patching. Got the download from vstcrack and patching was not in the instructions; however, every time I put the response code in and restart keyscape, it pulls the authorization screen back up.
