    Hey everyone,
This is one of my first posts, I would like to thank everyone here at AudioSex for setting up this bulletin board.
I am seeking some high end tom tom samples. I need them to program my own fills. Take a listen to any Seven Lions music and you will here great use of percussion. If you can recommend software plugs for OSX or a particular sample pack that is available for purchase then I am down for that.
This is what I need to build out dramatic fills. So if you have some Banging Tom Toms then please let me know. I will be happy to help you with any questions or items you may need.

    Thank you,
    Andrew Rockdaset

Realistic is very subjective... references are better.
Also toms are not separete from the kit because mainly its a group element
Well programed and mixed almost any plug can do the job.
    THe best
BF3 from fx-pansion (in osx you must be happy with BF2 and thats a loooooot of libs)
    the fast
    Ezdrummer from Toontrack
If you need orchestral drums theres a lot too

Here is a draft of something I made last spring : https://soundcloud.com/xoxopowo/7-petits-chats15062/s-kLQYE

It's unmixed, unfinished , hammered and so on, but it's inspired by 7 lion.
I used Superior Drummer (the metal kit I think), and a lot of reverb.
BUT you don't just program it and go.

    a. I recorded each one shot with quite some reverb, compressed it , with the reverb, to the space kinda swallow you
    b. Program the actual thing
    c. do some quite raw cuts when another tom arrive so they don't fight each
d (what i didn't do here) give a big volume down on all other instrument at that moment, this is a kind of solo (don't hesitate to overdo it)
    e. (ditto) pan quite hard
f more reverb but a shorter one.
(dont put the snare as loud as i did)
(again this is just a draft)
