hey guys i was wondering if someone could be of assistance in helping me get this working
i followed the steps in the .txt
1. Copy 'nebula4temprepository' to C:\
2. Run Reg.reg
3. Copy plugin of preferred format to respective place(s)

VST: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins (or equivalent)
VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

4. Copy from 'nebula4temprepository/Engines' the dll files (Acustica's DRM) into 'C:\Windows\System32' to prevent crash on some DAWs

but the part that is kinda confusing is confusing is the put the nebula4temprepository/Engines the dll files in the system 32 folder as i already have other actustica stuff already installed the easy way from the sister site and when i drop them in there it will have me overwrite my new .dll i tried opening nebula in fl studio and was met with a blank interface like nothing but the wrapper and then it crashes so something isn't set up right i copied my nebula4compository to my C:/
i am trying to get this figured out so if anyone else has any insite on the matter

Yes .. let me guess I'll have to uninstall R2R stuff and do it the harder way of installing since the .dlls will be in different places?.. I'm really hoping that ain't the case lol

 

I've seen a couple comments here that say the r2r acqua and the previously released N4 + libraries conflict and you can't have them both. On my end, both are working, but I've been curious to see if any more comments pop up.

N4 Nebula from install months ago VST3 running TimP, Cupwise, etc. VST3
R2R acquas various, framework in the 'set path' method, VST2

C:\nebula4temprepository

 

Hmm that's interesting.. I can see why they would conflict with each other because I checked the files on both releases and the one from R2R those files are larger and there I believe 1 or 2 files that's in the nebula release that's not in the R2Rs so I made sure those were the only ones that got copied over.. because I'd rather have access to R2R release even though I'd love to try the Timp stuff .. but maybe someone will come along smarter then me and have a workaround

 

Ya I just have the VST3 version installed of the R2R version because that's just what I went with and I remember reading it didn't make that much of a difference.. maybe I should try only having the vst3 version of nebula .. I dunno I'll keep messing with it

 

I didn't maneged to make it work also. If you have the N4 version on the sister site it will replace a bunch of R2R stuff on system32, plus, add some files that the R2R framework doesn't have. So there's a conflict on R2R Acquas and the OG N4 player from the sister site when i use R2R files. On my case, i can open the N4 plugin and the libs with R2R, but the settings are not recalling properly. Probably the witches will provide their own optmized N4 player (and if we got lucky, the official libs ). Better wait if nobody can find a solution.

 

My Nebula 4 and R2R new aquas are working just fine together. I just used Midnight and my beloved TimP Stay-level in the same mix. I used the lazy way installing R2R, everything in system32. I am using Nebula 4.2 or something, the one before this recent Nebula 4.5 one posted here and that was from here as well. I have no legit Nebula or Aqaurious installed. Just things from here and elsewhere. All I do is drop the contents of CST3 into the Common Files VST3 folder and the contents of the date folder thing, can't recall those letters at the moment. But anyway, not a single thing has changed with my Nebula stuff and the new R2r are working fine too.

 

And also, I am now worried about R2R and maybe something is wrong. They haven't posted any aquas since yesterday for Windows and I hope Acustica hasn't come back on them in some way or something has gone wrong in their process. No matter what happens, they have been incredible. They are real legends now.

 

The amount of worked they put in on all the acustica stuff I'm sure was very demanding on time and brain power so I think they deserve a much needed break.. I'm cool with using what I got .. but if they can get that figured out I'd be super greatful...

 

They are not ripping Trials into releases. That can be done, but it has already been shown they will result in different quality outcome.

Even we need a break to recall and test those plugins before actually implementating or not on our workflow. Imagine R2R whos providing all the stuff. And they are lazy witches, don't forget about that also

i've got both installed, both are running fine. i use sister site nebula with legit libraries from 3rd party devs i bought, and now i've been checking out acustica's stuff (which i find boring compared to nebula, minus a couple of things. but like the el rey 2 that everyone raves about Tim Petherick already did a library for... so i'll just use that.)

but my suggestion was to see if you can get the vsts (i install vst2/dll's btw according to giancarlo and the witches i think its the preferred format) working on another DAW to see if that's the issue. I'm using reaper, there is a 60 day free trial and it's 14 megabytes to download, you could installl a portable version just to test and see if it's FL studio not playing well with the Acustica stuff or a different issue.

 

how do you have the system32 files set up?

 

i deleted the vst 3 ... i still don't get a GUI ... but atleast it didn't crash this time

Hey All's - IS there a definitive install process for Neb's 4.5 v2.50 somewhere?? The 4.5 is newer but still for externals only. Just a step by step with all the minutiae laid out works for me. Like one of ya'll that has both scene release Nebz 4.5 and R2R AA stuffs working just write out the steps you took to get to dual mutual exclusive existence of both and I can take it from there.

Already have R2R acustica FW installed OK. Running the AA plugins symlinked to a proper huge resource drive. Intend to do same with the N4.5 stuff. Need to keep em separated. (not intended as an offspring pun )

Giving this a little bump. I'm still on Neb 4.2 or whatever then installed the R2R acqua's. Wondering if there's anyone in my boat that has updated from this state to Neb 4.5 without issue.

 

Hi there. You said you have the New R2R aqua stuff and the Nebula 4 stuff coexisting just fine. I currently have the new R2R aqua's working ok. On my system, the R2R aqua framework files reside in c:\program files\acustica\framework\. What I am looking to do is to install Nebula 4 such that these two do not conflict. How did you install yours exactly?
