near/mid/far monitors? waves abbey road studio 3

    i'm demoing this plugin

    can u explain me those 3 options...
    for example which one you use to check the bass? which one of the 3 would u choose to check the bass

    but in overall which one is for what?

    plugins like these only give you fake perception, as if you had multiple monitors or different room,
    it doesn't matter what options you choose, you'll need to throw some references there and make comparisons -> recalibrating your ears

    in real listening example, I use Adams 7s as my mids, Genelec 80s as my near fields. Too small of a room for bigger/further field, but I'm also using a 10 inch subwoofer. I'd check my bass (and other things) on all 3 of them. So if I have a plugin that simulates all 3 reference "styles", why would I do my checking any differently? You should not get widely varying results either way. That's the point.
