I don't like this. It always NI NI NI bla bla bla bla. Their control surface keyboards suck ass and are overpriced. Yet the far superior noavation remonte Sl MkII control surfaces were discontinued who had that technology already 10 years ago.

they sell but the link to get is at the manufacturers website, i.e I finally bought Largo, the download etc is from Waldorf site, I think it is more of a promotion of Komplete than a take over?

its a question of a plattform you get as small company and NI has a big plattform compared to the one listed here.
so NI make the plattform available for the smaller ones and does maybe get a small cut for the people coming from the NI page to the other companies page.

i think thats how its working.

I can't really seeing it hurting anyone, like artic^^ said above, I got the email too and was curious, will how it pans out.... I never have had a problem with their customer support, but maybe I have just been lucky.... and rectifier, i don't have one of their control surfaces as haven't needed one (already have a master controller), but I have Maschine 1 and 2 etc... The Novation thing was actually a complete nightmare for me, and caused all sorts of problems in it's "wrapper" sense 6 years ago when I tried it, I had to reinstall everything.... I did use the controller for just midi mapping for awhile, ....i do think that their new tech looks more interesting and useful to me, but again, haven't tried it. I got burnt on Kore1 and 2 though, so in no real hurry! :)

This will be limited, an for a limited time. It is solely selling third party libraries that are adopting NI's nks format for it's Komplete Kontrol series keyboards. Once it becomes widespread and not that big ofa deal that developers are adopting it, the third party sales (or diverting to third party sites for sale) will probably fade out.
