the best thing is to contact native instruments and told them to keep supporting the kore 2 in the new system
for now its obvious that they will support the newest products first and maybe they will support the old ones later

Looks like the first step towards subscription software. I abandoned PT when they started that crap and I hope it bankrupts them for doing it. I won't do any updates on MS Office either because of it. Same for NI if they want to start that too. F em all.

One good subscription though, at least from first glance, is the one from East West, which hasn't been warezed yet.

Plus, nobody says you can't use what's already released on the internets. It's not like when they release this new thing, all the warezed releases are going to explode.

To downgrade your software simply install the older version on top of the existing installation. The NI installer recognizes this and tells you that you are trying to install an older version. It then reverts back to your old installation with everything intact. At least it did for me. Even with all my custom Kontakt libraries in Maschine and the plugin images I made and user content nksf.
I never had to uninstall/reinstall all my plugins. That would suck.
This worked for Maschine and Komplete Kontrol. I've noticed that all NI installers do this, though.

I installed 2.4.6 then decided I was better off on 2.4. It took me maybe 7 mins for the up and downgrade combined. Not counting the space in between playing with the updated software and the restart.

I was thinking about buying Komplete Ultimate 10 and think it will be the last version before the subscriptionware kicks in. If it isn't in 11 it will be in version 12. I bet my grumpy cat t shirt on it!

@plomerus Hours? That sounds excessive. I'm on Windows 10 but it's never taken more than 20 mins for the initial scanapp on a fresh install.
I have 41,033 VSTs, a 634 GB Kontakt Library, a 246 GB user sample library and an 8 GB user content folder with custom .nksf.
This is all on the legit system. I did modify my komplete.db file to allow for custom images.

Well, you know what they say about patience, you virtuous being, you.

I'm curious to see what's in Komplete 11.

Why? To me, it looks like a steam clone.

It seems to be a trend in software revenue models.
Do you mean the steam video game thing? (I don't play games but have heard of steam)

Yes, I get that, but why does it look like the first step? What's visible there that I miss?
The steam video game thing is indeed what I mean. A centralized application to manage installation and drm in one place. That's what native access looks like to me.
