Native Instrument is AAX64 ready

    Native Instruments have released updates to many of their plug-ins to offer 64 bit AAX compatibility

    FM8 1.3.0
    Kontakt 5.3.0
    Massive 1.4.0
    Absynth 5.2.0
    Reaktor 5.9.0
    Solid Bus Series
    VC Series
    Vari Comp
    Load your service centre to get them


    NI are now sending out the following email to registered users.

    Dear KOMPLETE Instruments and Effects user,

    Free updates are now available for your KOMPLETE Instruments and Effects. The updates include:

    Support for MASCHINE 2.0 software

    Support for 64-bit AAX plug-ins in Protools 11

    Updates affect all KOMPLETE Instruments and Effects except GUITAR RIG 5 PRO. Details on the GUITAR RIG 5 PRO update will follow in a separate announcement.

    To install the update, please start the NI Service Center. Open the ‘Update’ tab, make sure the checkbox for all your KOMPLETE Instruments and Effects are checked, and click the ‘Download’ button. When the download is finished, unzip the files and run the installer.

    AAX is a good plugin, but nobody is using (avid only), so nobody gives really a s**t about it, to be clear about.
    so who cares?

    so they pushed only numbers with that aax crap or is there something in massive for example?

    Actually, quite a lot of people care. You should see the heat NI has been getting over this in their online forum, Rather unfairly, it seems to me, since the whole AAX PT11 upgrade is a pretty major step, and many manufacturers are taking a while with AAX versions.

    the problem is avid give you only 4 weeks access to the source stuff and if you havnt downloaded all the things you need in that periode you have to get access again and this takes.
    and then not to mention, that avid keeps aax for their stuff only, which is a really bad step.
    the format will have once again a shadow life like RTAS had.

    my mail adress is filled with the AAX blabla mails.
