Trying to do my own album art even though i cannot drawn, figure if I make it it'll always be my own. Also do any artists here who are seasoned have any tips for startin out in watercolors

Nice man, I like it. Always nice to see members use this section of the forum...

I believe @Lois Lane knows a thing or two about art, especially tradtional forms...

 

I envy you on your approach. Although, I must admit it's kinda mine, too. If you're gonna present your art in a musical form, why not presenting it in all forms? An artist is an artist. On the other hand not many people are as talented for different artforms. We are like bees, or ants. We specialise. I figured that my shit could be better envisioned and delivered by another person who is into drawing, for example. These days, too many people think they can do everything. No, you can't. Or you can, but it's risky and you're missing on the great opportunity to hang out with other cool artists.

Check out Ralph Stedman, he's one if my favourite illustrators.

 

Why not do everything and then some? It's great to have the freedom to slide in and out of disciplines and carry any and all lessons gleaned on to the next. I have and I wouldn't trade all the knowledge and skills that I have acquired in my time this life along with the friends gathered for doing just one single thing. That of course just me, but I know lots of creative people that have literally pigeonholed themselves in a certain medium or genre and feel the need to not upset the applecart of their income or notoriety in order to maintain the status quo. Either they stagnate or are so very conservative in their work that they only inch ahead instead of charge with the freedom that they once enjoyed. There is nothing inherently wrong about doing the samo samo, but there us also nothing inherently awful about dipping your wick in the many colors of the rainbow.
