You should be thankful that someone was still willing to work with you, because you wont get far in the music business (or any other kind of business) with this kind of blatant narcissistic attitude.

I never claimed to be a musician nor respectful I am just sharing my story about a greedy woman stealing my work. No need to personally bash me man. Maybe when you guys get your work stolen you'll be more sympathetic.

 

But that was not the point. It was about losing an already existing copyright. Like somebody wrote here that in the moment, where someone writes a vocal melody this guy would more or less automatically overtake the copyright (including the parts that were originally copyrighted by you). That sounds like a real threat. What if I create an instrumental, post it on soundcloud, and someone I don't even know writes lyrics and sings to it. I can't believe that this would give him the copyright to a song that I created. Please tell me it ain't so!

 

You still don't get it do you? Your work wasn't stolen, you refused to credit your vocalist for her input and blocked her on Soundcloud. You brought all this on yourself by acting like a child.

 

I agree. She might aswell have claimed part copyright (rightfully)(wich would give her rights to decide what happens with the song anyway. but you also still have your rights), rather than claim the whole song. And did she even register the song anywhere, or was it only a soundcloud claim?

Soundcloud claim. SHE CONTACTED ME to sing over it AND she got pissed when I refused to change the name of MY song.. There's more to the story. I'm not like most of these guys trying to get famous so they can bang all these chubby/nasty groupies. I literally just like producing unique tracks and djing in my bedroom for my own enjoyment. I'm already sure it's been on the radio now and she's used it to her own advantage and snubbed me when the whole talent is the person who created the song - ME.

 

BRO, from the sounds of all your posts you can't even turn a DAW on. At least I am legit and producing things and trying to better myself instead of just being a keyboard warrior all day. Go practice turn-arounds on your casio keyboard and let the producers and DJ's get back to work.

 

Then my tip to you is, forget her and write new lyrics TOGETHER with another singer/songwriter, that can also sing it. Then you will have half the copyright on the lyrics, and you will own most of the song. After this is done, register the shit out of that new version, so that you can claim copyright infringement on any upload of the old version.
Singer/songwriters are not that hard to find. It's the internet for god's sake.
