    Hi Smith & King,

good job so far! You've got a nice groove going.
In terms of style I would ditch the riser, it's a tad too ebm and balneario n°6 for a techno track. Also, the track is a little on the short side.
To make it longer keep evolving the track over time. Add more variation, more progression. Slow and steady. A good techno track has constant movement in it, most elements vary over time. Maybe add some chords. Add spot fx or percussive elements for accentuation.
Also, tune the drums and percussive elements as well as the other instruments to fit each other.

Keep it up and let me know if you have more questions :)

I really like this song. Nice groove and it has more variation than your song 'pewtermug'. I wouldn't change too much about this song. Congrats!

I agree with fraifikmushi and was gonna post that yesterday but was short on time. The song needs to evolve more so perhaps use some contrasting material.

This is a really nice rubbery track. It has a BIG technoey kick and very nice and minimal style.

As for the evolving part, I actually would keep it the way it is. Why does every fkn techno track have to be 7min long? The point of making music is to make something different, not the same...

And the nice EDM style melodic part is really really good and unique as well, it makes the track different from all the other techno tracks, in a way.

The nice melodic buildup kinda fools you, makes u think its gnna be melodic and then hits hard back into minimal, like as if it's trying to say FUCK YOU
to all the generic EDM artists out there.

I actually have no idea where fraifikmushi is coming from because there are alot of elements in this track that he already mentioned. There are amazing percussive effects in the background, the drums are heavy and tight, the claps are crunchy, there are little percs here and there, the atmosphere of the track is a watery, pumping sound reminiscent of a cool alien like futuristic club atmosphere...

The production and engineering is also really good as well. I reckon u did an excellent job with this one. Short but Strong track. Keep it that way...

I reckon you have quite a sound going. You just need to work on your own style more and just filter out the overly rushed and generic reviews of your track.

Keep your track short, it will seperate you from the rest and buildup on that style and improve on it, make it awesome and make it sound great. Then you can show that your own style sounds amazing too, rather than easily falling for the generic sounds...

The point of techno is that it is music for the dancefloor.
DJs are not really playing radio edits in the club.

May I ask why you feel the need for condescension?

This is not a radio edit, I have plenty of 5 minute techno tracks i play out. Jeff mills the bells is probably one of the all time great techno tracks and clocks in at 4.49, so im not entirely sure why the length of the track is causing issue.

Techno isn't JUST music for the dancefloor... that's a poor generalization. There are tonnes of HIGHLY artistic techno tracks that have a fantastic concept
for pure listening value. See Bubbles by Pig&Dan and Secret Cinemas Album/EP about minerals.

You can't just shoehorn someones sound for a certain thing just because it's in the majority, it is deprecating and highly damaging to the artists potential.

I'm not really trying to be condescending but it's just I've seen so many artists be driven the wrong way and be taught how to use their music ability
in a very poor and pigeon holed manner. This is due to alot of poor generalisations and misunderstandings of why an individual should make a certain type of music.

The best I can do is show an artist a much better approach and understanding of making music so they can be driven towards a more innovative light and approach.
It's in my opinion the best way to seperate an artist and make him stand out from the rest of the over-saturated, poor music makers.

Remember, alot of people are making music. How DO YOU stand out from the rest? And I know alot of people are going to say shit like, 'Well I don't really wanna stand out from the rest' and that's fine too... but this isn't for those types of people... this is for those who want to get there.
