So I recently downloaded fabfilter pro-q 2, and in my components folder, it is being treated as a folder instead of a bundle, even though my suffix on the file type is .component. When I look at the other components in my folder, under "more info" it says kind: bundle, but under this one it says "kind: folder." How do I fix this?

Is it causing the plugin not to load or other DAW problems? If not, don't worry about it. I might have a few plugins like this.

Bundles are just folders with the bundle bit set. Somehow that got unset. It could be just an aesthetic issue (as above). Googling around on how to set the bundle bit doesn't yield useful results, but there should be advanced file utilities around to set it on a folder.

    Here and there.

I noticed that strange behavior too, sometimes it happens when a Plug-In
gets disabled/cancelled by an intrusive program in the Plug-In. Some sneaky
    developers
adopt such techniques to stop people using ked software! *no*

Other Plug-Ins resulting as folders work good anyway……
……there remains the question why this happens! :dunno:
On which MAC OS are you?

On OS X both apps and bundles are basically folders, nothing more. Maybe something got messed with some system preference file, or xattrs of the file.
As long as it works no problem at all. Try to repair permission on the whole HDD if you're not used to do it often (good thing to do it at least once a month).
Never repair permission of the whole HDD while booted in it, boot from the OS X install DVD or an external bootable drive and repair permission with disk utility.
