download latencymon and see which driver is causing latency. after you eliminate that driver and get better results you will be able to run more instances of diva.

Latency is not the issue, Diva demands pure cpu power.

lower latency demands more cpu. he needs lower latency, thats why he's using lower buffer. if he can achieve with 128 buffer what he archieves now with 64 buffer, that means lower stress on cpu = more diva instances ;)

His issue is the cpu, period. Check his original post and comparison to his older yet faster cpu which also ran better with cubase.

Aren't you a ray of sunshine... :bash:
And to answer your question. Nope. No trolling here. Low trolling treshold perhaps?
If you had read, you would know i spent only 2000$ for a machine worth 6000$ onto DELL catalog.
I used ASIO4ALL only to prove a point. Not to use it on a daily basis... I have a Steinberg UR22 mk2 for that matter
And with the help of secretworld and others guys, i was able to get more juice from it than my old PC so no more weaker CPU thanks to them.
On a more constructive side (i mean despite your blunt approach) i note that a very fast I7 is the best bet for Cubase.
Thanks for pointing me to your signature. It's useful.
    See you :hifive:

Already have thanks. ASIO4ALL is just for testing purpose.

Minus tweaks, the biggest thing you actually done was increase buffering on your RAM which will probably cost you instances due to you using a Xeon and using ECC RAM. Other than that, clock speed will also make a big difference here.

Cubase is causing the issue. He proved it via reaper.

Not true I have an I7 Cubase 8.0 ran like crap on mine. I moved to reaper. Reaper is really coded very well. I am not trying to take over the world with Reaper it's just to some, a better option for a DAW.
Mine is a 4790 k. I can load the same project into reaper and the PC is just running Idle.

Why should he? Reaper is only $60 to purchase and if it solves his issue and he like's reaper. No matter what I did Cubase still ran like crap on my PC.

I'm glad Reaper may be the solution for you, it certainly was for me. After a love/hate relationship with Pro Tools and one too many 9xxx errors, I permanently moved to Reaper and could not be more pleased. More customizable features than I could imagine. Many great DAWS on the market but Reaper solved many of my problems. BTW, with ARA2 support just around the corner, the best may have yet to come.

Done a very quick and not thorough test late last night on my home computer.

36 instances of Diva each with Lexicon PCM inserted on each of them.
Each instance was playing 7th Chords

    Windows 10
    2011 MB
    i7 3930K 6 Core
    64 GB Ram
    Cubase 9.5

Only the BIOS has been changed the rest of Windows is default. (Except for USB Power management is Turned Off)
    No Network Cards

@yabiss Will be away for a week or so will be interested when i come back to see how it all works out for you.

    Best of luck. Cheers
