    16core - 32 threads makes a huge difference!!

    I'd say don't overthink it. Both CPUs are phenomenal and you'll have a difficult time overloading either of them, with games, or with music production. You can't really go wrong with either. I have a Ryzen 9 3900X and love it. Go with the cheaper option, save some money, and put that towards a nice interface, an even better GPU (that's really the big difference maker in gaming), or other hardware in the PC such as a big NVMe.
