    Hi guys

Do i miss out on something lately?
I now see all kinds of multitrack songs posted.

Is there actually a tool which is able to do something like that (I can't believe that) *no* , if it actually exists, what's the name of the tool?

if it doesn't exist, where do get these kind of multitrack songs?

    thanks

Seems to be a single user posting all these new multitracks. The instrument tracks seems to be recreated and the a capella is probably extracted with Melodyne (explains the heavy artifacts). Just my assumption, I only downloaded one multitrack and the vocals and instrumental didn't even have the same tempo!

    Hi,

It's mostly with games like Guitar hero, you got only Master Tracks. (The mixing part is made etc.)

There should be a "Miscellaneous Junk" section for all those multitrack posts. They're annoying as hell.

Increase your sample database now that we have the original tracks.

Some guys could kill for those!

And if some of you are interested in mixing part, there is the most interresting real multitrack out there ( Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody )

    Check it ;)

    are you kidding me!

They are the multi tracks from the studio, these are called stems and are sent to a mastering engineer for mixing. Sometimes they are sent to remix artists to give them more to work with so they are able to create something with the same feel.

It's impossible to create these from a full song. If they don't sound like the original then it's possible it's fake but i doubt they would be posted here really.

They are important as hell to everyone here, maybe one day you will get stems like these for a remix, they are very useful to understand how pop mixes are put together. As important as the one million and one shitty house drum loop sample that clog up this site.

I for one am more sick of downloading 'live' 'real' this and that and it turning out to be some dude with a midi keyboard and multi-samples. They are the worst.

But seriously try downloading stevie wonder superstition and tell me that is not genius!

yes i agree, these tracks are also interesting to learn the ways how all sounds are compiled and the whole track is put together.
sometimes you hear these tracks but they are so dull it's impossible to hear the total of instuments that are actually playing

These are amazing for the most part...The Stevie Wonder Superstition is fucking amazing to say the least... i couldn't ever imagine the chance to play with tracks and make a mix of that before... And some are being made with melodyne ...One word How?... Melodyne crashes to much for me and i have a legit copy

So thanks for all of them

how do you extract (stereo?!?)stems with melodyne? even DNA would have a LOT of trouble with a full stereo mix of a track. It seems impossible to me, well with melodyne that is. plus, melodyne creates far less artifacts then ALL the other tuners.

Yeah most of them are from rock band/guitar hero. Perfect for learning and remixing. Alot better then trawling the net and signing up for acapella sites to download unusable crappy D.I.Y. vox.

Thank you uploader for sharing these multi track stems

variable quality. superstition is a good one. Bohemian rhapsody is pretty good. Atomic is good. Blue monday is....slow. Bad sample conversion?

Better to have them than not.

They definitely should not have been ticked New Releases. Some of these I originally obtained years ago. The description from Blondie - Atomic says it was released on it's 1979 album. How can you call this new? They are just calling them Multitrack because that is the name of one of the sections.

Getting the stems from these often amazing recordings is one of the best things about this site to me . . . I often download songs I would never listen to just to dissect them on a technical level! I struggle to understand how someone who would frequents these forums would fail to see the huge educational value of having access to the stem mixes of some of these songs . . . but that's just me :)

    Big thanks to the uploaders!

there is no software that can extract individual tracks you can only make a acapella or instrumental from a stereo wav or mp3 these are probably the original tracked out masters that they release just another way to make more money from there song and so D Js can remix there songs easy

Extracting acapella from a track is possible with Melodyne:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FScFKuXXM0

Its a pain in the ass process and the result is not nearly as perfect as the voiceover in the video would like you to believe, but it is something.

I agree the Bohemian Rhapsody is the most amazing multitrack one could have, specially people interested in harmonies and mixing vocals. Also noteable is the Def Leppard multitrack (Pour some Sugar on me). Its not from the final version of the song, its from an early demo, but you can understand the basic Mutt Lange vocal layering technique from it.

But how does Superstition multitrack teach you more than you can already understand easily from the original song? It seems like a simple arrangement, just bass, drums, guitar/clav, horns, vocals.

I would expect a little more respect for the people that are responsible for your income.
