I did some research but couldn't find it.
Does Logic newest Version doesn't support MPE in the Piano Roll like Ableton?
I want to use the MPE Features in Serum 2 to pitch the played single notes.

I also tried to send the midi from Ableton to Logic. This works good, but also without MPE.

    Thank you :)

Yes, Logic Pro supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) in its Piano Roll editor, allowing for expressive control over individual notes within your performances. To utilize MPE with software instruments like Serum 2, follow these steps:

    1. Enable MPE in Serum 2: Ensure that MPE functionality is activated within Serum 2's settings.

    2. Configure the Software Instrument in Logic Pro:
      • Insert Serum 2 onto a software instrument track.

      • Open the instrument's interface and access its advanced settings.

      • Set the "MIDI Mono Mode" to "On" (Common Base Channel 1).
This setup allows each note to be processed on a separate MIDI channel, enabling individual control over parameters like pitch, timbre, and pressure for each note played.

Regarding your attempt to route MIDI from Ableton Live to Logic Pro: while this method transmits the MIDI data, MPE functionality requires both the sending and receiving applications to fully support MPE protocols. Therefore, to fully leverage MPE features, it's recommended to configure MPE directly within Logic Pro as described above.

For more detailed guidance, refer to Apple's official documentation on using MPE with software instruments in Logic Pro.

I think I also read this article and I think it's based on a few Logic internal Instruments.

Will continue my research later this evening.
But I fear it's not possible.
I just found MPE configuration parameters inside Serum2 AU. They're already enabled.
But Logics Piano Roll doesn't provide the functions like in Ableton.

Ah, yes, that sounds like a typical Logic vs. Ableton theme. You're right: Logic has now integrated MPE support (especially in combination with Serum2 AU), but the Piano Roll is still lagging behind when it comes to MPE editing. Ableton Live, especially with MPE-enabled devices, is much more visual and flexible – you can edit expressions like slide, glide, or pressure directly via note, which is unfortunately still somewhat hidden or limited in Logic.

If you want to work with MPE in Logic, you essentially have to resort to "MIDI Draw" (or Controller Lane), which isn't nearly as intuitive as direct note expression in Ableton. Maybe something will come in Logic 11 or a future update, but at the moment, as you say, it's pretty limited.

For writing microtonal steps, you can use the Pitch Shifter plugin with Cents automation lane. You can even store presets for frequent used intervals.
