Now I need a fix for the VirusHC Editor which doesn't show up in Logic Pro at all... xD

 

I remember having to try a few versions, after seeing other people have different results with it. the one that worked for me was 1.5.14 tnt. in logic 10.5.1. ti2.

So has anyone tried loading TI presets into this?

 

I doubt those will work. Virus B/C are the ones currently be focused on right now.

 

I was thinking it might be like, ex. patches from different Absynth versions. Where certain parameter data is just not there/ignored...

 

Being that the Ti has two DSPs and they've only written for the older single DSP B,C I expect you'd get nowhere fast Should be interesting to see if machines would be able to handle that at all. not everyone will have 20 cores.

 

I got that version to work in Logic but I did not end up buying a copy. Nothing in Catalina is worth dealing with that thing.

I just wanted to say thank you to everybody whos supporting this project and extra thanks to the people who have donated, we used some of this money to buy a Raspberry Pi which enabled us to work on the ARM version of the Emulator

- [Imp] Default Master Volume is now set to 127 instead of 100
- [Imp] Small performance improvements on x64

- [Fix] plugin did not remember Single/Multi mode switch
- [Fix] MIDI clock events confused DSP and corrupted other MIDI events, such as Pitch Bend and others.
- [Fix] ROM location search did not find any ROM in certain circumstances
- [Fix] state restore after reopening plugin sent default presets before sending the correct ones
- [Fix] plugin not responding to MIDI Sysex "Global Request"

Much better now already though there are still drop-outs and it needs optimization! Thank you! Maybe I will donate, but I still don't know if I will ever be able to run this flawlessly on my 12-core 2.7 GHz Mac Pro 2013.

 

Its pretty much optimized as much as it can be unfortunatley, we might find some more in future but nothing thats going to increase speeds dramatically

 

Well, I'm lucky I got this machine before Corona messed up my wallet/bank account completely.
I'm in the entertainment industry...
Maybe I can afford a new machine in 4 or 5 years or so...
But I know that's not anyone's fault here, so I guess I'll better wait and skip this one for now...

 

Actually I didn't expect this performance upgrade either, so I thought there might still be a flicker of hope for me...

 

I'm sorry to ask, but this is such a long thread. What is the best way to legally acquire ROM files for this, if the user owns a synth with this chipset? Because users may share them, is there any preferred method? Thanks.

 

yeah, it's really gray area that the whole motorola emulator project has so much buzz around it although the ROMs are verboten. reminds me of the bong shop in the town where weed is illegal.

the legal way to get the ROMs seems to be: get them but don't get caught, and don't tell anyone where you got them.

so how's the GUI version coming along?​
