Most OVER-PRICED Plugin / Developer.

 

Universal Audio, no question. And you actually have to buy their shitty, outdated DSP cards to run them.

Waves are overpriced but at least they have constant sales where the price is 80% off.

Flux - there's a reason you never see anyone using their presumably superior products.

Native Instruments if you buy anything individually rather than in the packages, and particularly Kontakt with its constant updates that cost a lot and don't let you use any new libraries without updating, even if technically those libraries could have worked easily on the old versions.

And of course, the shit king, Pro Tools.

For effects, yeah I'd say $499 is crazy money.

AVID, AVID, AVID, and AVID. Fuck them, fuck pro-tools, their their propietary plugin system. And fuck the worst daw ever made that someone sells for 700-1300 bucks. Crap software any daw can do and better. Midi editing that isn't even on par with master tracks pro for mac in the mid 80's. Every avid product is a piece of shit if you know ANY other programs Reaper for 60 bucks can do everything that protools can without the stupid rtas/aax crap. Their support line is nothing but theives and salesmen and not a single one of their products is worth even a faction of wat they should be. They made a program early and then convinced people it was good when all they do is make the worst software on the market and expect you to think its good because its either pro tools or the makers of. I laugh everytime a wanna be with no knowledge spends money on their shit, I laugh and tell good luck. Even working with protools and other avid products for over a decade The only reason I EVER touch any of their crap overpriced worthless products is when im at my companies studio. And guess what? All the stuff they do in the company studio comes from my FL STUDIO. Why? Because it would take 100x longer to get the simplest things dont... Never buy avid, bankrupt them like they have tried to do to the industry...

 

or have avid made protools and pro-tools HD just to sell a high version that records in pure 24bit when the original god damn pro tools should do that anyway. Not to mention the retarded names they give shit. I need to export, oh its called "bounce" Oh I need to find this "here is named something absolutely retarded. Oh this peripheral is plug and play in every daw but takes 30 minutes just to trick pro-tools into using it. Lets also not forget needing j-bridge for every plugin maker who doesn't have the money or care to make rtas or aax plugins so they can sell a lease and make more money off of OTHER people creating their content...

East-West where the most overraited useless plugins with the most annoying wanna be security that would go off even with legit versions of east-west strings. And even then almost every string library out kills what they put out. Not to mention East-West is all 16 bit libraries ran through a 24bit filter and they think a trained ear can't tell.. lol

AudioEase... Wont use it. I do it manually and every person I've heard use it just turns out horrible.

 

Tone2. They ought to pay you to install their malware lol.

This is not a bash but I think AVID is highly overpriced, -imho<3
