I'm sure R2R could release the entire iLok catalog if they wanted to. And internally they have already cracked everything. It's just not in their philosophy. "If you miss something there's always a reason", they often say. They stopped by no longer releasing iLoks, or at least High Target iLoks. That's all. If one day they change their mind we will find out on the sister site.

 

i think the best is audioutopia's protools and after that team air's cubase 5... those have to be the best cracks i've seen

Just see carefully how R2R released Avid Complete Bundle. Work like a charm. Awesome work. It's also obvious imo they defeated Pro Tools, long ago, but for reasons we don't know they decided to do something else. AudioUTOPiA instead decided to release it publicly at his time. God bless those brilliant geniuses at AudioUTOPiA.

How about because if you aren't learning it at a school or some type, the only reason to need PT is commercial work. with their release. Why does that release need to exist? And wouldn't only be at their own cost to do it again anyway?

 

I think no release has a reason to exist or not. Simply those who crack software do it for passion. And that's why R2R, AudioUTOPiA and many others are so well known and loved all over the world. Probably very few use PT here, but that's not the point. The same goes to any software. The Team is mainly exalted for the enormous work and passion they put into releasing such deadly protected products. They are a heritage for humanity imo, R2R and AudioUTOPiA to mention a few, like all the others.

 

this one was seriously a game changer for me. I'm a vintage analog synth nerd but had to sell everything before I changed countries. Falcon has enabled me to at least get some of that authentic sound and not lament having to sell my synths quite as much. Especially if you turn off all the built in fx and get the gain staging right (it never is ideal in their presets), you can get a very close sound to some of the actual synths they have deeply sampled.

 

I love Falcon2. I got it on sale 2 Black Fridays ago for about 200$ or so? The only better 200$ I have ever spent into music software is Logic. Falcon is amazing, and if you do not buy many of the expansions; it's not that expensive for the few key expansions you gravitate to anyway.

The only 3rd Party plugin I like more than Falcon is UVI Shade.

My Serum crack took quite a while until I figured out how to handle some things.
I worked on some early versions with a user from this forum who also worked with me on
skinning (and partly unlocking) FL Studio from 12.4.x to 20.5.x but then he decided to take
some time for himself offline... and sadly never came back.
So I started learning more and more and then finally I got it working.
But I have to admit, most of the time went by for learning & understanding, not for cracking itself.

I still think AUDiOUtopia was one of the old AiR members or something similar who tried to show off his skills one last time.
I once wrote in another place with an old member of Team AiR (I mean he told me so) and the way he wrote was pretty similar to the
way the user (who appeared to become AUDiOUtopia later) wrote about unpacking ilok2. AUDiOUtopia also used some uninstall scripts
in his releases that reminded me a little of the old Team AiR Cubase 5 & Wavelab 6 install scripts and he said he's an "oldskool reverser"
who "unpacked many protections before".

Absolutely spot on in every way.

What AIR did is unsurpassed and it part of cracking legend.
4000 hours, think about that... 166 days (and nights) if you were to put those hours in back to back.

Just stop and understand the dedication and shear skill that was required...

It was a complete re-write of what was at the time an unbreakable protection, AND, Cubase SX performed flawlessly, no bugs caused by the crack nothing, it was the work of the crackers cracker, the person that every cracker since should look up to and can only dream of being half as good as.

Goudah's passing was a massive and unexpected loss to the whole community, much less his family, loved ones and friends, and while most of todays entitled "its my right to have cracked software" noobs will not even have heard of his name, those in the know still morn his passing and thank him and AIR for all that they did. Their legacy is still part of the scene today, and will be tomorrow and onwards.

That being said, AudioUtopia's Pro Tools is the second biggest achievement in audio warez history.
Let us not forget that, much like Cubases Dongle was uncrackable until AIR did it, Pro Tools was just as uncrackable until AudioUtopia did it. For that reason AudioUtopia is also part of audio warez legend and until the modern Pro Tools is fully and cleanly cracked He/she/they will remain at the No.2 spot of all time.

As much as I love and hold R2R in very deep respect, they have not been able to replicate what AIR and AudioUtopia did in terms of *cleanly* cracking the uncrackable.

As for the rumour that the actual cracker went to work for Steinberg, we will never know the truth.
The few that do will never speak of it and you know what, thats ok.

Yes but what you need to understand is the level of protection back in the day is nowhere near to what it is today.

You know I've always remotely thought that? This imo also explains the fact why in 2015 the only company that was not released was Sonnox. Because they had already done it in 2012, as Team AiR. Which are very well done, but unfortunately 32bit only

Was SX first NFO'd as being done by H2O, and not Air? Obviously it doesn't matter beyond simply what a text file says. Just a nagging memory of it.

Are the releases of Logic even tampered with at all? I've had to drag 10.4.app file from my old machine to my newer one and it just worked right away. Both are legit, I just expected a problem and there wasn't one.

I think the Radium release of Hartmann Neuron VST could be included on this also. It had a Nuke Controller as it's dongle. It wasn't their fault the program/synth was plagued with errors and/or any bad coding. The "legit" version had all the same issues.
