I understand most say to have the monitors facing the ears

but i like it this way also
it actually feels more relaxing to the ears i think. And also gives another perception of depth. at the end of the mix i can also turn them straight to my ears to check...
Is this wrong to do? i think i like it more.

The word "blasting" is the clue here.
You should be able to talk at a normal level to someone whilst they are on.
No. Nobody mixes like that.

Try the KRK app on your phone , comes with a tool that tell u the right angle position on monitors
So often mine move a little and I correct it with that app

 

Align the phone to the table or to the front wall before pressing the button if you are obsessive like me, this way is more accurate

 

It kind of in a way is like the carpenter that has cut his/her length of wood three times and it still isn't long enough. Maybe one more time will be the trick!

 

most of instrucions over internet are not good. The triangle is not a good position because mids are over exposed and no sides. Then the operator to try make more 3d sounds put lots of reverbs to send signal to sides, and the natural sides portion of the sound will be masked for reverbs . . .
The first is a good isolation room with no reverbs at all, no big displays making reflections, and make a triangle but please, dont stay in the vortex, the vortex will be 1 or 1,5 mts behind you . . .
Then, all will be sound with more sides, and software reverbs will sound no natural at all, and you can combine the real sound of sides and your reverbs correctly.

actually yours is a smart intuition: in the past there was a Bose monitor (I don't remember the model) that used exactly this stratagem to spread the sound: it had the speakers facing the wall and had to be positioned in a corner of the room. Those loudspeakers were dedicated to domestic hi-fi use, I believe no one has ever used them as studio monitors

in the first you can listen lots of MID and no sides, then , when mixing you make mixes with no punch.

Close monitoring? Monitors at least 1.5m apart, at 33 degrees, making an equilateral triangle with you. Although you will find even very respectable engineers using all kinds of setups. But this is the rule.

 

Okay, now you're reminding me of my grandfather at Christmas when he would go out and walk the dog after the meal (and drinks!), wishing good day to other walkers...all the time not realising that he still had his paper hat on from a Christmas cracker!

Well, others may give you the best advice for sound, but i just want to ensure your safety.
Looking at your drawing I just want to say .. make sure those monitors don't fall on your head.
