    What effects do you add to strings to make them sound like this ?

    Sound is at 9 seconds.

    You take Le Freak by Chic, use a tool to extract the content (high strings), dial in too high values, produce this way a bunch of artifacts and sample it.
    This is the source, how it sounds and probably how they've done it.

    Hi, thanks for your response. You don't think they've added any kind of effect to it like a phaser or some compression ? What is the name of the tool you use to extract individual parts from songs ?

    Oh, forgot to reply, sorry.

    If I would do this, I'd probably use iZotope RX.
    They may have used an additional phaser or flanger, depends on the result of the extraction.

    steams are avalible for frec le chick so its sampled from the stems
