I'd say go try it if you could and decide for yourself if it's worth it to you. Personally, it's not for me so the only reason I'd pay even 50 cents for it is to sell it.

 

The only MODAL synths I really liked were the Analog ones they started out with, they priced themselves out of the market, but they did sound sweet.
