    Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding mobile speaker cleaners. I've noticed that my phone's speakers are sounding a bit muffled lately, possibly due to dust or grime buildup.

I've seen various tools online marketed as "mobile speaker cleaners" that claim to improve sound quality. Are these products effective, or is it better to clean the speaker openings manually with a small brush or compressed air?

I'm a bit cautious about causing any damage, so any advice on the safest way to clean my phone's speakers without affecting performance would be greatly appreciated!

It should not cause any damage, but I speak for myself.

When the (rugged) phone goes underwater the speaker becomes totally inoperative for at least half an hour.
So I blow some air in it, but also use some speaker cleaner, and it helps to some extent.

I don't know if it's very useful for dust, but you can have a try.

Cleaning the speakers of your mobile phone and smartphone – here's how

With our tips, you can clean your smartphone speakers thoroughly and effectively so that the sound sounds perfect again.

    1. For smaller dirt, such as dust, a small piece of adhesive tape is suitable for removing the dirt. Place this over the speaker and press it gently into place. Then peel it off again and most of the dust should be gone.
    2. If the dirt is more severe, a vacuum cleaner at home can help. However, you should set it to the lowest setting and then move it slowly and carefully towards the speaker. Too much suction pressure can cause damage.
    3. Alternatively, you can blow into the speaker to clean it. Make sure that you blow into the speaker when it is as dry as possible. Moisture will only make removal more difficult.
    4. A fine, small brush is also perfect for cleaning. This often allows you to reach deep into the small holes in the housing.
    5. If you don't have a brush handy, you can also use an old, fine toothbrush. However, make sure it is dry and don't press too hard to avoid damage .
