Learning to mix minimal techno (all the m_nus) in the most creative way, I have found the following:

I have observed usual changes every 32 times (16 bars) or 64 times
I observed that the phrase that follows has the same structure but with percussions redouble at the end of each bar.

Or that the 8 or 16 measures loops can be mixed between each sentence (could you consider a loop a chord?).
Within the mixture I like to pay attention to the choruses or intermittent voices to find the right point of change.

I abide to know the essence and spirit of each track, it is of little use to me count the BPM if I do not find the groove of each mixture.

I would like to find in these forums someone who is more experienced in mixing techno, especially in its minimal genre (I will not dedicate myself to know in depth a groove that I do not like)

Within the musical theory, what is a counterpoint, "another scale"?

Thank you for attending to this beginner and many greetings to all.

I have no clue about minimal techno, but...

Want you want is learn to compose minimal techno. Mixing is a different thing that apparently is not what you're asking about.

No (unless it's a looped chord i guess). However, while a loop itself is not a chord, it can contain or imply chords, which structurally could kinda serve the same purpose of a single chord depending on context and what's in the actual loop.

I'm sure you can find a more academic definition around, but counterpoint is basically the combination of two or more voices playing at the same time and how to make that combination sound good according to certain rules. So not a scale, but a method of composition.

In the language of music theory, "counterpoint" is a compositional technique in which two or more melodic lines (or "voices") complement one another but act independently. "Chord loops" go against the usual model of goal-directed harmonic progression in that they do not really “end” but instead simply circle repeatedly. Chords usually have progressions as opposed to loops. But, this is Techno so the rules don't really matter too much. Remember to enjoy and have fun with what you do!
