Just like I said: elitism is in the human nature. And if it's good to make money even more.

what do you mean respond differently. I'm just curious what you mean.

By the way I think music in the future gonna be recorded in higher KHz like 192KHz for example. I think in the near future technology gonna make it possible that one setting does it all. No need to change buffer size or Khz with almost zero latency. You can have as many tracks and as many heavy plugins you want without clicks and pops. Like in 5 years I think one setting does it all gonna be possible. For it to work I'm guessing minimum 96KHz.
Motherboard, CPU, RAM, Graphic Card, drivers, Firmware, Audio Interface, software, Windows, Mac and so on all gonna be important to make it possible

It's sad but axiomatic that it's easier to con folk out of their money than to afterwards convince 'em that they've been conned out of their money.

This is kind of ot, but related.
There's a recording engineer I've known for about 30 years; he can mic a kit up with one kick mic at a far distance, and 2 ribbon mics, and it sounds like everything is close, multi-mic'd. It's so amazing to me! And all channels of the entire mix are at 0! :suicide:
He's recorded some of the biggest artists since the late '60s (he's now a very young & fit 73), and I've always taken everything he said as gospel.
Last year we were talking about the Abbey Rd/Waves collab. We discussed that 2 different versions of the same hardware can sound different etc. Obviously, those are one-offs & haven't been mass-produced as hardware anyway.
He is totally convinced that those plugs are exactly like the pieces of kit in Abbey Rd...
I can't vouch for the sound of the actual gear in Abbey Rd; only he can.
Either the collab between Waves and Abby Rd produced a better product than the one in the vid below...or he is mistaken. OR, he's keeping the myth alive so his gen can continue to rake it in! haha. (I don't think it's that at all, really!)

Anyway. Vids like this one by White Sea Shiney Nose have to make us question it, eh?

He is comparing the CLA 76 to a hardware clone of a 1176, so is not a good comparison in my opinion… It was if he compare the Hardware clone to the real urei 1176 hardware and then to the CLA plugin. It's not fair in this way.

OH! Good point! Y'know, I assumed that was the Urei. I guess I wasn't paying attention.
    Well pointed out, @Evo
    Thanks!
Yeah, right. Not a fair comparison.

I want to copy a snippet from the book that tells it all about "color" mania of analog devices:
