Hi, some questions about the Mixer section in Samplitude Pro X3

    Mixer EQ's:
    - Does anyone who works with Samplitude use the EQ's in the Mixer (on each track and/or master)?
    - If yes, how/what for? I use an EQ as my first plugin (besides a virtual instrument), than a compressor.
But this Mixer EQ comes right before the fader, right?

    Fader's:
    - Is it possible to resize them, e. g. make them larger?

    Thanks for any hints!

The EQ116 is the best EQ I’ve used for Samplitude but further more, it also includes Sidechain functions which is very important to me. Digital EQs that have sidechain, rock.

The eq116 is excellent. In fact, after using some of the the best analog EQ's made (Dangerous Music, Crane Song, Pulse Technique, Millennia, SPL, A Designs) ,I am 100% convinced, ITB EQ's are far superior.
Samplitude/ Sequoia eq116 convinced me of this.

You can choose where in the track's channel the EQ is going to "sit" in relation to other plugins by LEFT-clicking on the plugins space in the mixer, select the EQ, move it up or down using the arrows.

The width of the mixer channels cannot be altered.

It is a great sounding work EQ, covers a lot ground doesn't leave it's stamp on everything and has a most of the bells and whistles you expect and need in a good EQ.

You can choose where in the chain any of Samp/Seq mixer effects reside including PF/AF, unfortunately the mixer isn't really resizable and scaling it makes it rather ugly and unreadable.

I managed to enlarge the sliders a bit :dunno:

    Thanks everybody!

So, is anyone using these built in EQ's in the Mixer section? Back when I had a hardware mixer (Behringer Eurorack MX 2004) I used to use those EQ's.

Well, since I've read loads of good things about Samplitude's EQ116, I'm going to use it in my track chains for now.

Agreed with all of the above, they are excellent eqs. When I use Sam I mostly use those. Other eqs only for coloring purposes, usually acquas.

Plus the eqs are perfectly integrated in both the objects and the mixer...

Good to have @Talmi aboard
Talmi, are you talking about the Samplitude fx-VST-EQ's as EQ116 or about the EQ's above the fader's (I call them Mixer EQ's)?
How does a channel look in a project of yours?

For now, mine 'looks' like this (when I do a first mix, after gain staging):
    1. VSTi (if not an audio file is used)
    2. EQ116
    3. a compressor (2.+3. occasionally replaced by a channel strip plugin)
    ----------------------------------------------------------
nothing selected on the Mixer EQ's
    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Cheers @au38wzh !

I get the confusion now. Those are the same. The eqs use in the objects, and the one integrated in the mixer, on each track, are also EQ116. That's a strong point of sam. If you right click on "eq" in both objects and mixers, the eq116 window will appear. You can obviously add as many as you want in addition to those, but if you only need one instance then the one integrated in objects and mixer should be enought.

Pretty closed to yours (minus the eq, since I use the one already on each channel and object). I use their stereo tools also. I usually insert fxs at object level, so my individual tracks aren't drawning under heavy fx chains. One of the beauty of Sam.
