Hey guys, just out of curiosity, I mixed this song with only Aqcua plugs. No fancy preamps, mics or whatsoever. I'd appreciate any feedback!

If you're interested I can give you exact details of which plugs and settings I used.

    Thanks!

With Acustica less is more. You dont have to use dozens of plugins to achieve a good sound like with algo plugins.
    Good job.:like:

  10. Such a wonderful performance, larger than that humongous frame to your left. Von_$teyr has it right, a little goes a long way. Maybe you spread it on a little bit thick. Sometimes less is more.

i like the overall, sound, but there is some issues, and i can totally hear some "bad/digital" distortion on the piano at the start" it requires a bit more compression for both vocals and piano...

forgive me if i sounds like hater, i'm not, just being honest!

good luck friend, would love to hear more stuff from you in the future. :like:

    I am sorry but.....

With this performance even a bad mix would sound great and I believe it is a perfect example that shows why people should focus on the performance and ditch the "fix it in the mix" attitude. I just hate sloppy musicians with good material...

I will agree with MrLyannMusic, there is something "digital" that I can hear somewhere in there, and some middle frequencies that annoy me but that is personal taste.

Would love to hear that performance with a real piano...

Edit: For some strange reason I was expecting to hear a crowd clapping at the end. It just felt right.

I don't think the plugins you use make a huge difference if you don't know how to mix properly. Now this mix isn't bad, but the vocals sound terrible. Very thin, frail, and they sound too close and isolated. Maybe add a shorter room reverb or some stereo slap delay to give them more depth and place in the mix. Their compression can also use a tweak.

Good singing, though not really my style.
