just the usual " bounce to disk ", like with audio.

you can mix and automate any of your midi like you do with audio tracks, so no reason why not to

and unless you have 2 instance of Diva ( which requires several mac pros with Qbit processors chained together :snuffy:... you'll eat less ram than audio does

No ' freezing ' of tracks either?
If tracking and MIDI editing is done, I don't see the advantage? Just save a ' non flattened ' version of the song in Ableton for last minute MIDI editing.

    Lol at the terminology.

Ofc you can bounce/render/freeze/consolidate to audio to save up on CPU power. It's also great for further audio processing, which offer more options than realtime processing. You are basically opening a door to a new creative room.

As long as there is no need for multitrack audio export like disk speed, RAM, CPU, or treating the audiofile itself like reversing or kind of this. there is no reason not to "mixdown in midi" and just render a stereo file.
