Can someone explain to me why, on some posts, the instalers are missing AAX plugins.

 

AAX files need to remain unmodified for Pro Tools to validate them on launch. A lot of cracking requires actually modifying the actual plugin files. Those modded files are useless in a legit install of Pro Tools.

 

they aren-t needed for Reaper?

 

maybe because so less people use ProTools, and it is not worth the extra work

 

Unless you use the R2R workaround with their release or the AudioUtopia release.

Let me disagree with your opinion, but in every professional school, ProTools is taught, which makes it, like it or not, the industry standard.

All good, let's make a poll how many people in here use protools. My claim was related to the scene and not the industry.

 

The scene uses cracked versions of Pro Tools that are never fully implemented. No wonder it gets less love. The difference between cracked and legit versions is big. Pro Tools is stable, very.

 

Last Time I tried legit AVoID ProFools HD (i think 9) was a disaster. It was unstable unreliable. Heck I even had a command 8 and 2 cards and it was a mess

 

We have come a long way since PT9.
