Moog is bringing it back for those with DEEP pickets as from the posted article it will be over $5000. I got mine from Synapse (Legend) for about 100. I would love to be able to afford one but I can live with a great emulation.

Yeaaaaahhhh.... Behringer Model D is close enough. Real thing will be better but not $4,700 better. And I say that having owned the Behringer and a 1978 original.

 

$4700 would buy me a fine acoustic guitar with an Adirondack top not unlike the wood used on this new Minimoog.

I don't know how the analog big-hitters can justify their prices when Uli can get 95% the way there for peanuts. And with the Model D you can hardly put it down to development costs!

For that price $5,000 I would rather get all the Behringer desktop clone synthesizers plus their original ones also

 

Yeah. Too rich for my blood. Hell, the Sequential Circuits stuff are also too rich for my blood, and they weigh in at around $2500.

Maybe this is the trend? Oberheim's new synth also costs $5000.
