I´ve got this mail from the new owner of VI - Control Mike Greene the other day.

I simply don´t know if I should laugh or cry when I read this ..... is this really funny or is the man crazy?

Here´s the start of the mail (quote):

When I bought this forum a few months ago, there were some people who were concerned that since I am also a developer (Realitone), I might somehow try to take advantage of the situation. Frankly, I find this insulting. Very insulting.

Sure, I admit it's tempting to use this new platform to tell people about my various products. You know, like Realivox Ladies (our collection of 5 solo singers, 60 articulations, true legato, etc. already being used on numerous records, films and commercials) or even Realivox Blue, a solo vocalist with an easy to use wordbuilder where you type in vowel and consonant sounds to make phrases.

And believe me, I'm very tempted to use this platform to mention Fingerpick or RealiBanjo, since many of you who have not seen this Fingerpick YouTube video or this RealiBanjo YouTube video where we show off their super cool Pattern Players. Speaking of Patter Players, can there be anything more innovative than the completely interactive RealiDrums Groove Generator, which is demonstrated in this video?

But no, I would never stoop to such shameless self promotion. And I resent anyone thinking that I would!

Because if were a shameless self promoter, then I would take this opportunity to mention our newest release - Screaming Trumpet featuring Wayne Bergeron. Believe me, it's tempting. But nope, I will do no such thing. Instead, I'll bite my tongue and not tell you about the great lead trumpet tone you won't find in any other library. Mike is a really great guy with a fantastic sense of humor. He loves his community, and they love him too. You should laugh and smile at this.

 

I received this email too. And I believe this is simply second sense humor and promo for his products at the same time ... My reaction was: delete... : )
