midi playback problem cubase 5

    hi there
    I have this problem, for example, I have two midi tracks, a bass and a drum
    everything works fine no track is in freeze and all outputs and inputs are set properly
    But for example when I double-click on the bass midi track the sound from the drum track disappear while i need to hear both. I 've tried to activate and deactivate the loudspeaker icon but the error persist
    all cubase projects now have the same problem
    please help !!!
    i use cubase 5 and windows

    In pianoroll: Press S, as in solo/unsolo. Maybe it will help.
