Rode NT2A-Anybody have any hands on/ears on experience with this mic? Your opinion on this company's mics in general?

I have it and love it. Im no mic expert but I think it works beautifully for vocals and with almost no noise.

Id recommend it, you wont find a whole lot better in the price range.

What will you be using it for? Vox, guitar, drums?

I have a NT3 and it really works for me. Great bang for the buck. I use it on vocals, hi-hat, guitar amp, and snare successfully at all times. I don't have a great mic collection, but sometimes it gets chosen over my Audiotechnica AT4050 or my Shure SM 81. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Vocals mostly. I think I am going to get a matched pair of something for drum overheads. I want an AKG414 but it is just not within my budget right now.

I borrow a friends AT4050 when he lets me. I like it on my voice very much. But If I spring for one of those, I won't be able to afford anything else for a while. I will give Rode mics some serious consideration.

I went ahead and bought the Rode. Only been playing with it a little while. Just my vocal so far. I'll get my friends AT and do a side by side one of these days and let you know how it stacks up.
