you can place the meter tap plug in on individual tracks across your project, you can then compare the visual data wherever your meter plug in is (Insight)

I thought this was what Relay is for, and it has a gain, l/r, and width control on each one. Insight 2 does not see the channel with meter tap on it, but does with Relay. Am I not doing it correctly?

iZotope offers several audio metering and monitoring tools, including Meter Tap and Relay. Here's a brief comparison:

    1. Meter Tap:
      • Meter Tap is a lightweight plug-in that allows you to route audio from your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to other iZotope plug-ins for real-time metering and analysis.
      • It's designed to provide precise metering and analysis capabilities within your workflow without adding significant processing overhead.
      • Meter Tap is commonly used to feed audio to other iZotope tools like Insight, Neutron, or Ozone for detailed analysis and processing.
    2. Relay:
      • Relay is a utility plug-in designed to provide comprehensive audio monitoring and metering capabilities within your DAW.
      • It offers features such as loudness metering, real-time spectrogram analysis, surround sound support, and customizable user interface options.
      • Relay is often used for monitoring audio levels, checking stereo imaging, analyzing frequency content, and ensuring compliance with various broadcast standards.
In summary, Meter Tap is primarily used to route audio from your DAW to other iZotope plug-ins for analysis, while Relay is a more comprehensive monitoring tool with a wide range of metering and analysis features built-in. The choice between them depends on your specific needs and workflow preferences.
