• There are varios DEMO/FREE version of this, but they are DEMO, i dont put here DEMO stuff.

• i KNOWS there is so many BASS; but this are especific METAL = if forgot someone please comment, i will included.

• some of this like ´´Rickenbacker Bass´´ are no EXTREME METAL (death metal/gore/brutal) but for trash/OLD school/ (NOLA) maybe are good.

i used my criteria of Picking and Palm mute, basses, 5 string or DROP-TUNE Mode AFINATION.
we know this articulation are ´´METAL´´ sound.

i used some time retro*(Ilya.Efimov) in parallel whit {TSE B.O.D (Bass OverDrive)} and i get, nice sound, because, retro pick style sounds ´´UGLY´´ and i hear it was the bass player its playing hard or drunk i thing is about more felling of human play with retro on parallel is like a DRUNKER BASS player.

#WolwerineBlues yes...its truth...TRILIAN rules... .
but now i using, Ilya.Efimov.Modern.Bass-KONTAKT and orange tree samples cherry electric bass, sometime Ample Sound: Bass P.

for me the WORSE: BASS in this list its .... PROMINY SR5 ROCK BASS, (10gb) of notihng good or interesting, new o diferent.

 

The most used bass VSTi in metal is "buy a cheap bass and double the roots of the guitar parts".

 

#kouros, yeah this truth, plus use {TSE B.O.D (Bass OverDrive)}, and DONE!!!
BUT it a shame....because, STRING for bass are MORE expensive than a cheap bass...
means:

1) buy a CHEAP bass = OK!
2) USE {TSE B.O.D (Bass OverDrive)} FREE = ok !
3) buy string for your BASS CHEAP =

*sometimes, you will find more cheaps BASS than string.

 

Usually it's more than that but B.O.D. always! Just like T.S.E.'s overdrive with no gain and open tone before the metal amps.


Remember that bass strings can last years, specially on a fretless bass.
