I just installed Mixroom but it did not activate, the license file was not generated and apparently you cannot reset the activation.
Does anyone have any clue how troubleshoot this?

Remove it using Revo Uninstaller. Then reinstall it. Make a rule for your firewall to block it from accessing the internet.

or edit your hosts file to block the developers domain.

rename the license file at Program Data/MasteringTheMIx/ to mixroom-licence.dat from whatever it was. you can tell once you look at it. there's spelling error.

EDIT : if license not generated. Use the older version activator ?

    TurboActivate.exe ver. 4.4.4.0
The mixroom-licence.dat file was never generated.
Is there a script or patch to reset directly turboactivate license log offline?

Since the activator is stuck in that tab and do not give more options to regenerate the license.

I did this same thing with the Laney Ironheart. It's still proper fucked no matter how many times I install/uninstall or replace the files in the Activator directory with fresh ones. I think TurboActivate must have a system directory or could be writing to the registry. :dunno:

It is probably leaving scrap objects, or registry keys like you mention. Which is why I suggested using Revo Uninstaller Pro. It finds all the junk, and also all the little files developers try to hide. Then if that file is present, it will do this kind of thing. Preventing you from reinstalling, especially if something timebombs.

I don't even use Windows for music, but if I ever had to; Revo would probably be one of the very first things I would install. Obviously it cannot fix a screwed up release; but if your install goes wrong, it's the best.

Can't even get to that step.

Jumped into the private jet for a jaunt down to Mother Russia so I could grab Revo and watch it work it's magic.
Unfortunately, no magic was performed. Revo did find some registry entries and residual program files but deleting them made no difference.

Yes, I used revo cleaner pro to uninstall Mixroom and clear the logs but its seems turboactivate is broken and keeps showing that "activation was successful" false positive message.

oh, if you are using the R2R version, I see they released a Repack of this. Mastering The Mix MIXROOM v1.1.0.Incl Keygen REPACK-R2R

    Are you using that one?

This is the note they included on the nfo file:
REPACK : The name of TurboActivate setting file is changed from the last
version. You cannot get activation working in the plugin in the previous release.

To be clear, mixroom according to the activator is authorized…but VST3 in DAW is not authorized, and mixroom-licence.dat is missing.

uninstall with revo. install r2r Repack. And it should work. Until you do it in that sequence, it doesn't matter what the activator is showing as an error. it's been modified so some odd results from it could be understandable.

Revo won't help because the plugin and it's installation isn't the problem. It's TurboActivate that is causing the issue.

TurboActivate doesn't have an installer. It's just a standalone .exe program but once it runs, it stores an activation block that contains your serial and hardware profile into your system drive. Once you delete these activation blocks, you can then reactivate your plugin.

As for which activation blocks you want to delete, try looking at the creation dates of ActivationRequest.xml & ActivationResponse.xml that you created to register your plugin. Now look in the following two folders and delete the activation blocks with the same creation dates.

    In Windows 10:
    C:\ProgramData\ms-drivers
    C:\ProgramData\icsxml

I haven't done enough testing to know if you only need to delete from one folder or both but when you attempt to register again, it creates another activation block with the same name as the one you deleted. You can use a text editor and open the blocks in the icsxml folder, you will see your serial and some hardware info. I am also not entirely sure that if you delete all the activation blocks in those folders, you may have to register all your TurboActivated plugins once again. Someone can post feedback.
Once you delete the corresponding blocks for your plugin, you can now reactivate.:metal:

I repeat this in every post, but, the machine I produce music never ever know what internet is like. Since I unplug the internet, about 2 years ago, everything works better, a lot.
