Im with all of you this price is still outrageous!! needs to be $1,000 flat with all expansions $199 for the plugin alone and come on 30 an expansion if not 25 ?

im still pissed at them but cant believe someone had cracked the 2.2 but now no one can ever crack the newer ones? lol wow would that be a holiday gift for the nexus lovers.

 

I have strong feeling nexus is a combination of samples + insert effects combined.
I once demoed nexus 2 , got 15 hours to play with.

Their sound can be achieved with any decent sound library.
It is just my opinion i could be also wrong.

Personally i feel their price is too much

 

Avenger is great. It goes at 160 euros right now.
Nexus but unlocked and more powerfull...No dongle.

Sounds like they made their products "free", removed protection, upgraded all the stuff to next versions (nexus 3, vanguard 2 advanced...), expanded nexus to death, and uploaded all on Audioz on zippyshare, mega.nz, and posted direct links to download.

 

When there is NI Maschine soft with all expansions , who need Nexus 2 .
what a sound there is in Maschine . wow.

 

Spire, u-he synths, z3ta, sylenth 1, native instruments, robpapen are enough to kill the needness of nexus. And packs of presets for them. Why I said about preset packs? Because in synths you can change sound as you want, flexibility. Nexus is a big overused heavyweight sampled synths, you can change sound only cosmetically and fx. But who needs nexus effects if there are billions of processing plugins.. Nexus is for lazy edm producers, because 95% of sounds or more is edm, electronic, dancepop, electrohousetrancedubstep, club oriented. Guitars, pianos etc are synthetical and thin, so using them in live rock and other live instruments music will be plastical. So this stuff is for edm.
Sound of nexus is like 2000 and up to 2012....very simple, primitive and usual. No new and interesting sounds like in spire, or other.

I've got no interest in Nexus. Especially not at those batshit insane prices for expansions. But the Vengeance guys have scored a homerun with Avenger, in my opinion. It still needs a couple key improvements, but it's brand new and the dev is surprisingly very receptive to customer feedback.

My go to synths now: Bazille and/or Sytrus for in-depth FM, Harmor for serious additive work... Avenger and Diva for everything else.

 

Avenger contains all the Nexus waveforms, and filters, but for me the JPX Saw Ana1, and analoge filters sound best (organic)

Nexus ones are too steril for me

offtopic the Moog Ladder filter implementation very nice in Bitwig, as u can hear
